The Swiss tool that was sent to Switzerland for repairs arrived today.
So, as a memento of not having tools left home, I organized my display case.
The problem is that there is no more space to display my tools.
I still have 15 tools left in my inventory

My Black Friday shopping--Juice XE6.

I figured at $40 on sale, there was no reason NOT to get one. I paid $30 for my basic C2 when the Juice was to be discontinued.

Ordered 2 Knipex Cobra XS

Tired of the 4in adjustables breaking and stripping bolts. Maybe these will be better.

As a Successor of the Victorinox Delemont Evogrip S557 I lost somewhere in my Room and to have finaly a „One Knive Solution“ as I have now a Mini Champ, and a Workchamp in my Pocket I decide to order a Victorinox Delemont Evolution S52 as it’s comes close to the Toolset of a Huntsman but whit a Nail Cleaner and Wenger Scissors and Locked Blade
But whit a Saw and whitout this Wrench the S557 had..

First I wanted an Swisschamp or an Handyman then I took a look on Alox but found it the better Alternative..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Reportedly, Goat Tools have started shipping, so in theory there is one tool and a few extras on their way, or will be soon  :ahhh

First purchase of the year!

I picked up a Leatherman Bond at a really good discount ($36 shipped). I had bought one right after release, but the Free clip I was using hooked on a trash bag, and it accidentally ended up in a dumpster at the county dump. The employees didn't let me get it, despite the dumpster being otherwise empty, and myself wearing steel toes and high-visibility apparel--in fact, I met all OSHA requirements (this is my farm work clothes anyway). I told them specifically to go look for it (most of the time, they're just standing around and not working), but they refused.  I have always suspected someone pocketed it.

The PST, Rev, and Juice were all tried as Bond replacements; and sort of failed. PST is uncomfortable for hard use, the Rev has a 2D Phillips and short fine-only file), and the Juices are terrible in terms of QC and fit and finish.

I'm still on the fence about getting another Free clip. I had bought mine with the Free T2, which did not go well with me, so I put it on the Bond once I had it in hand. The reason I lost the Bond was the Free pocket clip with its excessively flared end.  I carry my PST and Rebar in my pocket or in a sheath.  If having a clip is necessary, I'll probably just use the Rev.

From the same place, also, I have the BMC/Timmee Toys Plastic Army Women set, mostly for the medics and dog handler.  They are no longer listed on Timmee's own site, so I presume they've been discontinued.

$11 was a lot cheaper than the $20+ shipping the manufacturer was wanting.

I've always thought a dive knife with a blunt tip would be a pretty good hard use knife, as well as a knife with which I couldn't accidentally cut a person or animal in a rescue situation.

Most that have steels that aren't pot metal are upwards of $150 (i.e. Benchmade H2O).

Nisaku makes a knife called the Mizukatana using their Hori-Hori handle, and it was being cleared out for $15. It is made in Japan, and is the "upgraded" version with DSR-1K6 steel (AUS-6). Almost all of my Japanese Kershaws use it, as does a Rigid (also made in Japan)--I've had no problems, and it holds a good edge. While entry-level steel, it has to be better than the 304SS that most dive knives use.

Interestingly enough "Mizukatana" means Water Sword in English, which means that this is, apparently, a dive knife.

Sure does look like a diver's knife to me. Should be fun to put through its paces.

I fall into that trap, too. That's why I'll soon be receiving a Bowie knife that's all of 4.25 inches long. :D
