Why does the song Chim Chimminy come to mind?

I didn't expect it to look like that during daytime. Is that an apartment type of housing?

Thanks, nice pic.

They are called terraced houses over here, most of them were built during the industrialisation of the country as they allowed lots of houses to be built in a small area and to do so fairly cheap. You find them lots near mines and other big industrial areas. Does look very different in the day though doesn't it!

It's another sunny and clear day today here.

I took these two pictures early this morning. The mountain ranges and the volcano 50 kilometers away are clearly visible. Take note of the volcano crater.

The nearby hills and the mountain ranges at the back of acacia trees are also clearly visible in this picture.

Everything is so green and beautiful!

I'm ready for winter to end.  Everything is brown and dreary here right now.

WhichDawg, the coldest temperature here is only 24 degrees Centigrade (74 degrees Farenheit). That occurs during the months of December to February.

I posted the first pic yesterday. I took another pic at a slightly different angle very early this morning. Notice that in the second pic the volcano is no longer visible. It is still sunny today but not as clear as yesterday.

Taken yesterday.

Taken this morning.

We have one of the safest port here because of the small island protecting our port and our city from typhoons. Picture overlooking the city and the island.

This is our port.

The island can be accessed by small motorized boat we call "bangka". The white sand beaches are on the island and attracks visitors from neighboring towns and cities.
