Hats off to you jc  :hatsoff:
In theory how wide could you go??
I'd love a fully loaded ranger with both the shears and pliers layer, plus all the variations of blades including the mike horn serrated pattern.
What do you think such a beast would cost and would the pins be able to cope with the weight or would it sag.

It really would be the ultimate Wenger for me

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Well, with guenine Wenger rivet max wide is 3.50 cm (1.38 inch) but with other special rivets there is no weight and no wide limits (see the Wenger Giant !).

For all blades and all tools of Ranger knives, first you must to buy all Wenger knives to take blades and tools you need, then you have to make special rivets. I'm not sure it's still possible to buy all knives you need (In Europe I'm pretty sure it's impossible).

But if you can find all knives needed in US or in Canada,  you can send them to me and I will make this "monster" for you !

I still have a Mike Horn :pok:

You would need:
Alinghi: Marlin Spike and nice serated Blade
Gardener: For the shears
Mike Horn: Plane Blade, Sheepfoot Blade (serated), short File
Electrician: Hawkbill Blade
Ranger 50 or Hunter: gutting / safety Blade and wood saw
Rescue / East Ranger or Handyman: Long metal file
Oboe

That gives:
3 OHO Blades
Gutting Blade
Oboe Blade
2 Metal Files
Pliers
Shears
Marlin Spike

 10 layers ranger, roughly 8 cm thick
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Thinking about it, the main appeal on my end of the giant here is that it includes both the heavy duty scissors and heavy duty pliers. The range is screaming out for both of these on the same knife.

Thanks North Man and thanks to all for your congrats.

In reality, it is rather easy, it is enough to know how to make a head to a rivet and to respect the order of assembly of springs, blades, tools, etc.

If I find a big file (like on RangerGrip 88 recue) I will add it to have a 7 layers !
Then would be the perfect monster, of course with corkscrew instead of phillips
For phillips you should go with bit driver in scales hole :D

Btw :2tu:

Of course ! But a metal saw is more difficult to find than a corkscrew or phillips screwdriver !

Hello All !

Since a long time I dreamed to make this little Wiki tool ...

I started with the Wiki of Wengers 130 mm (the Rangers)

The three objectives of this tool are :

- 1) quickly find a reference to a knife from his tools
- 2) show all known variants of the same knife
- 3) and YOU make me happy too !

First download this software (No virus nor spyware !) and copy it on your desktop : HERE

Run the software and accept the licence agreement. It works like an Excel sheet :

- You can filter tools and blades (gray arrow under tools and blades command bar)
- Clic on the knife icon to see dedails

I hope this french tutorial will help you ! But don't worry, the software is in English !

And now enjoy !

Not really a joke.
The wiki is still missing tons of knives (Wengers), and there are still errors here and there that needs to be corrected.
Nikola was updating a lot recently, while I'm well behind my to-do list and it was ages ago when I made my last edits.
:td: to myself.

Yes I know that, and I know it's difficult and very long to do...

With the last Wiki 120 mm you can add lot of photos and serial numbers on Sakwiki Wenger 120 mm.
If I have enough time, next will be 95 mm and after 85 mm !
