Put a gym in our new home! Just need to get some adjustable dumbbells, curl bar and maybe a treadmill. Also, ceiling fan can’t stay there for overhead presses.
Nice setup!

Well, it’s official, the Mrs has broke the “lost 250lb mark” she’s been at it for over  little over 8yrs, kinda sounds bad but she had to keep going in the hospital and being on steroids for her heart which kept making her gain weight, she’d keep working out lose 5lbs then go in the hospital and gain 10lbs since she’d be be stuck in a bed, and did it quite a few times, but she pushed through and kept going, all to finally hit her goal weight of 169, 250lbs less of where she hit and said this is enough! She still can’t believe it and started crying, I wanted to give her a hug but I just got freshly dressed from a clean shower and she just finished a hour on the treadmill and was covered in sweat, so I was like “ I’d hug you but your filthy”! Lol but gave her a kiss and said today is a special day you need to do something to remember it! So a BIG CONGRATS  goes out the Mrs today!!

I recently set up a new bench and "training spot" in a spare area of the house.

I look forward to using it one day  ::)

I also recently threw out the bathroom scales. It's done wonders for my self esteem! Now I just need to get my belt to stop mocking me.

Now if I can only get her off that dang scale, she’s on it every single day, I got her down to twice a week but then she hit her mark and totally went back..

I'm not worried about my weight... I do want to lose some fat, but if I replace it with muscle and still weigh the same that's OK with me.

I'm still following the Simple and Sinister kettlebell program.
One hand swings are now at 28kg. Two hand 32kg with ease, need bigger.
Turkish gets ups, now doing 5 x 28kg left and right, and in the last week managed 32kg for one rep.
Simple standard is 100 one hand swings in 10 minutes, followed by 5 (left and right) Turkish gets up in 10 minutes with a 32kg kettlebell. Maybe in the new year I'll get there.

I’ll be getting my workout in about 3hrs, since we sold our snowblow since we thought we were moving south but didn’t, and well, I got about 3in of snow to go shovel and we’re on a corner lot so I got a loooong sidewalk and three walkways to do! I’m not doing the freaking driveway since we don’t have a car, screw that if the kid comes over he can park on the street, I’d probably pass out..

Wow it’s been a while, yet I was the last to post, odd.. the Mrs hit the scale this morning and was jumping up and down! :woohoo: But she actually hit the 150’s for the first time, but not even that but the BMI put her also in the “normal” % she’s always been overweight, obese, or even morbid obese, but for the first time she’s down to normal, and it couldn’t have come at a better time because tomorrow is her 44th bday, so she’s in a very happy mood! Of course I got a BIG hug, squeezed tight, totally forgetting I got sunburn on my shoulders,, ouch.. :ahhh but it was worth it to see her beautiful face and amazing smile! :D

Seems odd quoting myself, but its a good method of showing progress.
Last month I got to Timeless Simple standard with 32kg kettlebell, so that's 100 one hand swings followed by 5 (left and right) Turkish Get Ups, but not in any specific time. Also got myself a 36kg kettlebell and performed one Turkish get up left and right with it, which is half my body weight!
I was continuing to progress over the weeks but then slightly hurt my lower back, after some rest I'm back on the program but at lighter weights again.

Without really trying, I have lost about 9kg (about 20lb).
I have been doing weights twice a week and running 5km once a week, nothing too crazy.
I started playing football in the last few months, I think that was a major contributer. That and stress.  :-\

Now I need new clothes and new notches in my belt.  >:(

Ok, maybe someone on here can help, she doesn’t get anything through there insurance and can’t find anyone to help her figure this situation out,
She dropped to 158lb but then goes back to 162lbs, she works out and burns 1k calories every morning sunday-saruday, now if she eats 1400 calories a day she goes up, so the only way to keep the weight level or take it back down is to starve herself,, I don’t get it eats 1400cal - 1000 workout = only 400 a day? Any thoughts?? Ty,,

Too little calories for too long? System is in stressed/burn out state. Hibernating and trying to save everything. I'd recommend easing up on exercise and pumping good calories (protein, good fats) up for at least a fortnight

Can this also be since she doesn’t take a freaking break, she doesn’t take a day off, well I lie, she took Xmas off, but other then that the only other day was last Xmas! I told her she needs to let her body rest every once and a while, like do a m-f and off s&s,
