I get asked ALOT in emails where my website is, do I have a site to show my work, etc etc.  Well I finally got around to registering 2 domains.  SAKModder.com and SAKMods.com

Now I need to figure out how to make a website.  I did it years ago, but Im rusty.
If you need any help, let me know. Would be glad to help out.

And sharp job on the scalpel. :tu:

If you want help making video content for your site, I'm totally open to help. :D I already do product vids for KershawGuy.

That scalpel holder is really something, especially for use as an every day utility knife. Brilliant idea.

if you don't feel like doing any proper coding, you could just hack around some Wordpress (or similar) templates.
Takes a lot of the hard work out of it.

Ever considered some splash anodizing? I would kill to get my hands on a vivid blue/black, vivid blue/red, red/black, and orange/black.

I'd rather see some decent acid wash anodizing. Camouflage looks nice done this way.

Acid wash is great, but for some reason I just love the sharp lines between contrasting colors. Really makes it pop in my opinion.

It's hovering around 0 C today.  Not too bad at all actually.

I stopped by the waterjet place! :D

You can see the ver 2.0 (top) of the spring has more meat over the pivot and better curves for faster finishing.

I got a tip from the waterjet buy about a heat treat place right here in town so Im going to check them out tomorrow and get these things done.  :D

I might see about getting them tumbled as well to eliminate the labor intensive manual sanding part, but we'll see.

I know I got excited!

I sent them off a quote request so we'll see if if I can afford it.  It would be a nice upgrade to the BO as it can have inconsistent results with blotchiness on occasion.

DLC tools and anodized Ti scales and liners....

Copper alox with red liners, with a clip point blade from a day packer.

It took some fiddling to get that clip point to fit, but it worked out fine.  The blade is much thinner than a standard 93mm blade so it needed a 0.030" washer, but its nice and stable.

Nice.  Did you use same pivot hole?  I just cut a bit off and drilled a new one.  Frustrating to beat material into exisitng.

No I did a Vic trick like they do to put pruner/electrician blades on 91mm SAKs.  Just tighten the spring a bit and you dont notice.  That pivot was 3.5mm anyhow and the 3.2 mm pivots were fine in that.  Thats even less than putting a 3.0 holed tool on a 2.5mm pin like Vic does.

I thought about shortening the blade, but it was already feeling kind of stubby so I left it as is.

Thanks for that.  That is worlds easier than my route.  Hoping to send the blade off for a reprofile as well on my next attempt.
