The Woman in Black
on: February 17, 2012, 11:04:12 PM
So has anyone gone to see it ? Its been out for a week here in the UK but I'm not sure about the rest of the world .Here its classed as a 12A and stars Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter . We all went to see it today . My wife and I , my oldest Daughter (16) her boyfriend (16) and my youngest daughter (14) . None of them will now go upstairs alone unless me or my wife goes with them  it didnt help because they watched Insidious yesterday  ::)

I thought it was a great film , very jumpy and if I'm honest quite scary .

I have no interest in that film, but every time I see it advertised I think about how much I'd love to have made a film like that.  After two hours of drama and frights I'd have him yell "EXPECTO PATRONUM" and have the woman in black chased away by a silver stag.  Of course that would be a very expensive joke to play, but I'd feel it was worth it!  :D

Part of it was filmed at the railway i volunteer at :D, the eerie thing is the scene at the end with the bridge and groom walking down the track (minus the boy) is exactly what people have seen there (ghosts i mean) because back in the early days of the railway a newly married couple were killed on the line. gives us the creeps walking past there at night on the way back from the pub!

Very good film i thought, would advise against taking a twelve year old though! made me jump a fair bit

The only thing that spoilt it was the teenage girl behind us that insisted on telling everyone how that jumpy bit didn't scare her  ::) Although she did go very quiet as the film progressed  >:D
