So did anyone else watch the show "Chuck"?
on: February 24, 2012, 12:24:20 AM
I wasn't able to watch the last season when it was broadcast, so I've been spending the last week catching up.

The only thing was that I watched it all except for the last two episodes, and it seemed to take an unusual turn, one that made me worried. So before I watched the two final episodes, I went ahead and looked at the synopsis for them. My fears were confirmed, the show ended somewhat ambiguously, with the creator stating that he wanted the audience to decide how it ends.

You know what I thought of that? I thought, smurf you you God smurf smurf. I did not spend five years of my life investing in some of the best story telling on television only to have to write my own smurfin God smurf ending. You can take your ending, roll it up in a little ball, shove it in your smurf and go smurf yourself.

Sorry about the rant, but it really smurfs me off.

Yeah, I think that's a bit of a cop out.  I don't watch the show myself but I hate it when writers are too lazy to finish the story.

The other thing is that he smurfed himself in his pocketbook.

As I was watching the last season, the whole thing was building to a crescendo where it looked like all the story lines were going to be resolved, and I was seriously thinking about buying the series on DVD to watch the whole thing again.

I'm sorry to say that I will never watch the show again. Bastage!

That sucks.... I had to Google it, and fortunately it doesn't look like something that would interest me much, although I have seen it on Netflix and thought about checking it out.

It's worth a watch, like I said very creative. Just don't expect to be satisfied with the end.

I think of the Soprano's, while the show did have running subplots, it was never intended to be more than "a day in the life" of the characters. So when it ended abruptly it was "par the course".

But with Chuck, it was a five year story of the lives of the characters, and the audience went along with them to where their lives were headed. It had a good beginning, and awesome middle, but no end. Not good story telling at all.

Yep I watched the show from the start and this last season felt pretty lame, I had no idea I was watching the series finale, and when it ended I was like.. wtf was that.  Disappointing.

I never liked the Sopranos either.

I always liked the show, but I dropped off sometime during the 2nd season.  I tend to easily lose interest in certain TV shows for some reason

I'd watched season one, but for whatever reason, when the DVR failed to record season two, I didn't bother to see if it was still around.
