Today, after reading all the Bond/Curl stuff and chat about the Wingman/Sidekick etc I decided to use the Wingman  :D

It helped plant some chillies and then, having had a quick bath, basked in its own glory  ;)

Not today, but Monday I used my TTi to get my Jeep back home.  So I've done a bunch of work, and made a bunch of changes to my Jeep.  Monday I took it out for a nice easy shakedown run, and about halfway through the run, the Jeep died.  Well smurf.  Tried to start it, nothing.  I turn the key to see if I can hear the fuel pump, and I could. But I could also hear fuel spraying, and when I looked out my window I could see fuel spraying out.  Well double smurf!  Under the Jeep (on a wet and muddy trail) I go.  Yep, broken fuel line right at the quick connector.  Triple smurf!   So I start trying to figure out what I had and what I could use to get out of the woods and back home.  Luckily I have an onboard air system that just happens to have 3/8" airline.  So I cut a piece off, crawl back under the Jeep, strip the rubber coating off of the plastic line, cross my fingers that the airline is the right size, and go to slip it over both fuel lines.  Sure enough, it was the right size!  :woohoo:  I put a couple of zip ties on it, tightened them up and I was back on my way.  I was filthy, wet, and soaked in gas, but I was back on my way.  I have knives and pliers that stay in the Jeep, but no pliers that would have been small enough to fit where I needed them to tighten the zip ties.

We were out with the stroller this afternoon in the city park. It was a bit windy and the sun was beating so I needed a makeshift wind/sun screen. Placed a piece of white cloth on the hood of the stroller and it worked perfect but the wind kept blowing it down. So I thought I need something to hold it, like a cloth pin. Then I remembered the old wooden ones, before they started making it with springs. So I'm in the park, in need of wooden pin and have a leatherman in the pocket.  :multi:

Used my Bond quite a bit. I cut 2-3 things with the blade (mostly packaging), and then used the file to notch a mark in the top of a key. We have several different Kwikset locks around here. Every darn one of them is marked "5"; whether it's a new lock, or 25 years old.  I lost my keys recently, and I usually don't have to worry, as my key is marked "LOWES", not Kwikset.  To make sure, I put a notch in the key.

I have to admit, the Bond is shaping up to be a quite nice tool. It's also pretty much one of the few knives/tools I own bought day of release.

Nice use and nice locksport gear!

I have some Sparrows sets, I need to get back into it, I haven't gotten past different rake/rock attacks yet

Thanks
If you are raking a lock you want to use bottom of the keyway tension and the tension you use should be very light otherwise you won’t be able to set the pins past the shear line  :tu:
