Don't know if they are the ultimate EDC watches, but they work for me.

I wore the citizen everyday for five years up until this past May, when I got the Timex shock.  Now they both see equal wrist time.

Very different watches, but I like them  :D

My old Timex Ironman.  I've had it for 15+ years; takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.  While I like analogs aesthetically, my Ironman has so many useful features; Indiglo, alarm, timer, stopwatch, ect

Here are my casio's, ive wore casio's since the early 80's and find them indestructable, my favourite here is the larger spf-40 (seapathfinder) i like the size of this watch as have big wrists and like the larger digits, i had the prg-40 for ages and really liked it but stupidly sold it, although im after another at the moment,  :tu:

casio DW-285
casio DW-9000

+1.  I really think the look of an analog watch is superior to that of a digital.

Plus, it is easier to see where you are in time at a single glance with analog.  I.e., you can see it is, for example, 10:40, but you also instantly have a visual that is is 20 minutes until 11.  With digital, you see the numbers 10:40 and have to do the math in your head.  Not a big deal, but definitely quicker and more intuitive with analog.

Conversely, with digital, it is easier to state the precise time.  If someone asks me what time it is when I'm wearing an analog watch, I'll usually respond with something like, "its about quarter til 11."  With digital, I just read the time, "its 10:43."
