thats a nice looking g shock, similar spec'd to my aviator g. I tell you what you wont be able to break it! in the instructions that mine came with it tell you that its one of the few watches you can operate a chainsaw whilst wearing haha

I think it looks excellent. 8)  Got a link to which model it is exactly?

It's the Casio AWG-M100B-1AER  (there's also the AWG-M100-1AER, which has a bit of grey in it and the AWG-M100A-1AER, which has a bit of blue in it).

I just e-mailed my local watch shop to see if they have it in stock (or if they can order it)  :D.

I love my Casio PRG-240... And in googling for a picture discovered they now make a titanium version.

Excuse me while I go shopping...

I'm thinking more and more about getting myself one of these (not my pics):

(Image removed from quote.)

Here are the reasons why I tend to like it:

It's a G-Shock, so it's nearly unbreakable
It's solar powered, so no more changing the batteries for the next ten years or so
It's Multiband 6 radio-controlled, so always 100% correct time keeping
It's pretty black/stealthy looking
It has an orange led light, but also its dials light up green in the dark (I know I seem like a 6 year old, but I do like dials that light up green ...)

So, what do you guys think of it ?

...and you can mod them, too!

Here is mine, a Multiband 5, the predecessor and a modded AW 590, the non- solar atomic, yet cheaper but equally indestructible variant.

They had the lettering balced out, the Atomic one got it´s buckle, bezel and pushers media blasted for a grippy, non reflective surface, teh other one was blacked out and equipped with a black PVD coated buckle.

it's another classic Casio for me as well, though I wear a W-59 rather than the F-91W, though the differences are tiny and they do exactly the same things.  This watch has done a heck of a lot and survived, not only survived in fact but still looks nearly as good as the day I got it.

(Image removed from quote.)

After a slightly impromptu durability test (it went through the washing machine  :-[) I can tell you that this watch really is tough/waterproof. :D

I don't have any of those Wengers left- I seem to have given them all away at one point or another!   :ahhh

My MTO ZA1 has been taking a break lately until I get a new strap for it and the Orange Monster has been filling in nicely.

Ballistic Tornado

This watch has had very little press that I can find and I dont know who makes them because there's no Manufacturer details. I ordered it from Amazon UK on a heavy disscount. The first one I received had had the hands mounted wrong (They didn't line up at mid-day), I had it replaced and the new one has survived and kept good time for over two years now.

Possibly because I wear my watch on my right and have a fairly manual job, every watch I've ever had before I've broke within a year. This one was described as indistructable and I thought "I'll be the judge of that". But I just cant break it. It's armor plated, the glass is ballistic and there's a rubber shock ring aroud the face that is great for avoiding scratches and it genuinly seems to be watertight. If you get one that's been put togeather right I can't fault it.

I have had awsome luck and service from my G-Shock...Just the Basic Solar powered Model..It has had the snot knocked out of it for over two years and still going strong..Well worth the 90 dollars or so my Wifey paid for it.

My DW-5600E..  8)  8)
Got it in a trade with Zed/Paul and been wearing it since..  :)

(Image removed from quote.)

I've got the same one.
I switch off between the gshock 5600 and my timex 10 lap watch.

the timex gets used more because its comfy, light, buttons are great, large numbers, great light, ect.....its pretty beat up too! almost never comes off unless I'm switching to the Gshock. just depends on my mood.

After thinking about it for a long time I decided not to go for the Casio AWG-M100B-1AER I mentioned here before, instead I went for something completely different (and I'm not talking about the Monty Python movie  :P).

Anyway, my new watch is on it's way to me, I hope to post some pics here by the end of the week ...  :wait:

Right here is one. I still have the G-Shock I bought in 1985 along with an early version of the Casio GW6900-1 atomic/rechargeable
watch.

I usually wear a Citizens Speedmaster Chronograph but have to change the battery every 5 years which is its only drawback.

Here's my trusty Citizen Eco-drive. I've worn it every day for five years, in the bath/shower/swimming pool, at work and home etc.... It's a bit battered now but it's extremely accurate, reliable and never needs a battery!

+1 on the Eco-Drive  :tu:

I got mine last year around Christmas time and I can't put it down. I would like another that I could possibly do a paracord band on though like a G-Shock or a cool diver's watch.

*edit* forgot to add the watch image
