I have been using one on my keys for years now. They work well for somethings and not so well for others. The gates tend to open fairly easily so don't use them in a place where they are likely to get bumped a lot unless there's a backup in place.
For example, I use mine to clip my keys to the belt loop on my pants, then I drop the dangling keys in my pocket. If I bump the S-Biner and the gate opens up my keys just fall into my pocket. Once you get used to it though you find that you don't bump it so often.

I don't use them for much; mainly just for inside my PFII or on my dresser to keep a couple miscellaneous, seldom used tools or membership swipe cards together. With that said, I'm somehow accruing a small pile of the metal ones.

I have small metal and plastic ones and they are mostly really good. I've heard a lot of folks say they are rubbish, but they suit my needs.
Like Def, I hang things in my pocket so the worst things that could happen is something falling in to my pocket!

I use them for my keyring these days.
I used the plastic ones until I found the stainless s-biners locally. One thing I did to help was to use a rat ail file on the notch the clip rest in so it would be deeper. I don't have the problem with the steel clips coming loose in my pocket. I need to replace the black one holding the Ladybug....it doesn't match!
I love Nite Ize products and hope they expand the lines they have already. great innovation and reasonable price.

I find that these easily allow for losing clipped items while left about in the pocket. Otherwise, they're pretty secure neat little clips. If you want something for keyrings that's a little more secure and still compact, check out McGizmo carabiners sizes #1, #2 and #3.

I use mine with some paracord to secure items on my backpack and for keys, and many other things. Not super strong but the get the job done 90% of the time.

I used one for about an hour- after putting my key ring back together a few times, I decided I would stick with my old reliable 'biner keyring.

I don't use them for keys; I have several of the small ones clipped to zipper pulls in either my EDC bag, or my hiking pack. I keep little things on them that I want to access quickly and not have anything hanging off the tool or whatever. Typically used for things like a small SAK like my Compact, or Executive, my car key, Smith's Pocket Pal, etc.
I also have a pair of the larger ones that carry my Terra-Fi's on the outside of my hiking pack with.
