I'm sure they were once classed as a weapon ! here in the UK we'd probably get in hot water if we EDC one !!!

Every now and then I think of getting a decent one, but the good ones aren't cheap!I was about 22 years old before I figured yoyo's out....DefSent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
It's funny you mention it as I just found one of my old Yo-Yo's a few days ago. The string literally has 6-7 knots in it that are almost impossible to get out so I am just going to buy a new string. It is a Yomega X-Brain. I remember having a Fireball and a few Duncan's as well. I might have to see if I can find them.
While I know he's probably not the best yo yo guy in the world I have to say I always loved Tom Smothers doing tricks as the Yo-Yo Man!Def
Yeah that's why I was kind of looking at them too. I've never had anything with bearings or fancy string so I'm a bit lost, but it's fun looking!Def
$20 + $30 shipping wow, but your also up in Canada too. So of course it's going to more exspencive for shipping, but I didn't think that much! Dang, what about amazon? I know they have a few good ones but I don't know how it works for up there? A couple that I were told were good are the Duncan pro z, yoyo factory velocity, or the classic by yoyo jam, all under $20, all bearings, but the pro z and velocity will play both sides of the fence, being responcive or unresponcive, meaning if you throw it and it sleeps but if you bounce it will it come back up, but you need to get your basics down solid before you move on to what they call binding in order to return it to your hand, for a better idea of whats new and all the tricks go here, www.yotricks.com he'll give you good info! He also sells yoyos, and it's free shipping on $35 out of states,, JR
Just for the record, shipping from Hong Kong and China (which are a lot further than the US) is usually so cheap it's added into the price. I rarely pay more than $2 for shipping from China and less than $5 from places like Australia or Europe.Def
author=MadPlumbarian link=topic=40933.msg654106#msg654106 date=1353507875]You don't ship much out of the country do you? Shipping out of the US isn't that expensive. Some US sellers have it in their minds that everyone outside of the US is a lying scum sucker that will take them for everything they are worth by claiming packages never arrived. Because of that they either don't ship outside the US or they charge extra for insurance, delivery confirmation, then add the drama charge. I have had some sellers quote me $25 and more for a Victorinox Pioneer, and I have gotten them from Tim for less than a dollar's shipping.Just for the record, shipping from Hong Kong and China (which are a lot further than the US) is usually so cheap it's added into the price.
