There are a number of identical models from Gerber that come with different handles- the Suspension, Evo, Ripstop and Resolve are the four that come to mind easily, although I am certain there are a few more. The Suspension was the first one, and the rest were done in response to demand from big box stores to have an exclusive model. Rather than design new tools, costs were kept down by building the same tools but with different looking handles. Otherwise they are all identical. As for the stupid question bit, well, if you are wondering about it, then chances are others are too, which means that maybe it wasn't quite as stupid as you thought in the first place. If this forum ever gets to the point where we crap on people for asking questions then I will personally fly to Holland (where the server lives) and burn it down.Def

Since we are getting into the details.... The BG Suspension was never really planned to be a BG Suspension. When Gerber won the right to produce the BG line they needed a multitool to include, and the Suspension was the easiest to customize so they went with it until they could put the time into creating something more fitting, which eventually became the BG Strata. So it was more a stopgap measure to buy Gerber some time than it was ever expected to be a full member of the BG lineup.Def
