The new coins arrived today and the opening is still to small. I tried every 1/4" driver I could find and none fit. The opening is bigger but not big enough.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

If anyone else has the new ones and can check I would appreciate it.  Also, pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Something is very odd because we tested the mold before the coins shipped out....ugh!

The opening looks like a fit, but it's just a hair too small, even trying to force a bit in didn't work.  But, a few minutes with a diamond file and I shaved enough material off the flats to make it work.

1st pic shows bit sitting on top of hole.

2nd pic shows marked up center where I tried to force bit into hole, but it still wouldn't go.

3rd pic shows bit fits after a few minutes with a diamond file, but I know not everyone has such files to remedy the situation...

I don't have pics, but I just received the new coins and I can confirm that while they look like they fit, the opening is indeed just a hair too small.

Some pics. First coin on the left new coin on the right. Second pic first coin with 1/4" bit driver. Third pic with new cion and 1/4"bit driver. I also tried a 1/4" allen wrench and was a no go also although it came closer to fitting than the 1/4" driver.

I got mine today and none of the 3 I got fit. The hole is bigger than the old one but it appears a tad to small.

Well, given this is a multitool forum, I'm sure we all have access to some needle files, right? :D

Please nobody spend any unnecessary time filing your coins...we found the issue and are remaking them - again. You know what they say - the third time is the charm, right?

As stated before, we make coins - not tools...(thank God, right? LOL)...and the plating process closed up our precision measured gap! It turns out we made the opening (before plating) too precise!

In any case - production will begin tomorrow on batch #3.

Now that we have this tool thing down, maybe we will expand our business.  >:D

Our sincere apologies!

First up, huge thank you to Coins Your Way for going the extra mile beyond the extra mile they already went!  We appreciate that you are standing behind your work and making it right.  I would imagine a lot of companies would have just written it off at this point and left me to deal with a bunch of disappointed people.

It is looking like anyone who bought a coin will now have exceptional value for their money.  If you bought a coin when we first listed them you'll actually have three coins for the price of one:

1- A First Production Run coin with the hole formed too small
2- A Replacement Run coin with the plating making the hole too small
3- A Charm Run, which I'm sure will live up to it's name

As before, there should be some overstock of the Charm Run when the dust settles and I'll list them in the Forum Store on EDCSource as soon as we know what's what.

Agreed.

Just got mine today. Very sweet. And they are right, if you use a file and shave just the plating on the coin a bit will fit nice and tight.

Well, I got mine from Felinevet!!  THANKS TIM!!!! ;)
Though I like the hex bit hole.  I plan to use the coin for its intended purpose.  Some guyfrom Fort Dix starts shooting his mouth off with a challenge, I show my coin, and get a free drink from him!!!
