Not sure if these pics show enough but I'm trying to work out if this is any good, or just a Bit of junk ?
Any advice welcome, before I start the rub down

This might help michael    I'm sure yours is from india,could be ww2 is the blade pitted like carbon steel would go, now clean it up

the kuk is of Indian origin(military supply syndicate) which fits with where he was posted ,ive seen the same kuks in old ww2 pics from india and from burma:

your pic is VERY similar. I'll do some google work tonight, then start some cleaning tomorrow !
I couldn't resist giving some old 4"x4" fence posts a bit of a whack with it, and it didn't fall apart. so that's a good sign in my book
