wouldn't it just be easier to carry around a small file, perhaps even without a handle?

true. I keep mine in my toolbox.

<snip>

and here's the requested pic for  50ft-trad

(Image removed from quote.)

surprisingly the oht's saw is shorter than a 84mm wengers by a centimeter or 2
the Vic saw is quite a bit longer.

edit

saw thoughts

I would have never thought the oht's saw was a little shorter than a standard wenger

It's never felt like it was to short when I've used it.

the handle is comfortable to use / easy to grip and hold when sawing.

I'd prefer a replaceable blade but the saw it has works and seems to stay sharp .

one hand opening kicks ass :tu:

Thanks for that JA  :tu:

That saw is actually even shorter than I though  :o :o BUT at least it's outboard on this tool, which means that more of the blade is usable (unlike the Rebar / ST300 etc)

The Blades might be a little short, but they work rather well and sometimes you just need a small blade to get into tight places. As for the saw,  it is a beast. I tend carry a regular blade with my multi and it seens like the LOHT was made to compliment a dedicated knife.
sent from my mobile

But it's tiny!  >:D All this praise for such a small saw  :P It must be like the vicious bunny in The Holy Grail  :D

Many thanks for the pics and comments guys, you've convinced me it's really not for me (thank you :D) but I'm very glad it's working so well for you two  :tu: :salute:

Does anyone know the saw length in inches?

Thanks!

Naah, I think it's just a normal Juice, but with that special screwdriver thingy, like the C33SX.

Yes, they did. But they can call it what they want, I'm not believing they're gonna make a Juice that much different, and still call it Juice. Just marketing speaking there  ;)

Maybe we should let JA continue with HIS thread. I know I am not alone in enjoying it. After seeing his pics, I think I am going to have to get an OHT.

Bummer, I hope you feel better soon.  At least it's a good opportunity to give the OHT a much deserved break and cleaning ;)

the rebar might be the tool that kills this thread.

I bought a new bo rebar a day or two before I broke my finger and started this topic

its in my safe now and it really wants out. It needs to be used.

I'm not going to yet. It can suffer.  >:D

A little more thought.

I think I will replace the oht with a super tool before winter. The rebar is close but a little small.

While the OHT isn't for me (too big/heavy for my typical daily needs), I can see how it would be very useful to someone whose daily work requires the more convenient access to the tools (like you).  That's where it would beat out the Rebar or SuperTool, but you must see a reason for switching in the winter.  Perhaps because the tools will be more protected from snow, etc?

Il need a complete tool kit on my person. I don't always have a tool box with me.

also I have to see this winter how the oht will handle being packed with snow and ice until I do I don't trust it. :(

True, it does seem the OHT may be a little lacking in that department.  Especially since you need a file, and the drivers may be longer or better to use on a SuperTool or Rebar.  I'm curious to see how the OHT handles winter conditions, not that I'm wishing for those conditions anytime soon... :P
