The Fat man got a new friend today. A black es4 that replaces the micra I was carrying along with him

anyone got any good name suggestions.

the gadget might have to bevwhat I end up calling it if I can't come up with a better name.

its just as much if not more of a gadget than the micra is to me anyway.

It has to be a nuclear bomb name.

why
because i think its a explosive little device it deserves a fitting name

Change of plans

I was going to do a review of the wingman this summer but I've changed my mind.

I want to give a Gerber a work out.

I should have a mp600 blunt nose in the mail next week.

I still plan on doing a review on the wingman. Its just put on the back burner for now.

sorry if I'm disappointing anyone.

I just have to see for myself what the Gerber can handle.

I've heard to much about it not too.

again im sorry for changing my plans.

I make a living with my tools I just can't risk using a tool i don't trust 100% to stand up to my job in the summer. My busy time of year.

winter will be a way better time for the wingman to show us what it can handle.

Some do. The nick names are on the far right side.

I'm liking Elsie the MK-8 a Earth penetrating weapon, gun-assembly HEU bomb

I'm still undecided.

Honest John was also a good one its a Multipurpose boosted fission warhead

thanks Kyle

I know you were looking forward to it.

I'm still going to review the wingman. It just goona be awhile.

I think the Gerber should be alot more educational.

 I got a lot of questions ???

im case you didnt know I'm far from a Gerber Fan.

well see if the mp600 turns me into one  :multi:

I really do hate most of the crap they make now.

they used to be a quality maker. Now I think there all about sales.

i also think there made im USA knives and tools should still be made well. I got friends that are big fans of them.  im sure there's a reason why.

im excited to start this one

Its gonna be a few months

Yeah, Gerbers seem to have a mixed reputation around here, so I've always been curious, but never actually bought one.  It'll be interesting to see how it holds up to your level of use :tu:

I think that's because they've produced some real crap and even I have been extremely fed up with Gerber in the past but when they do something good, it's really exceptional, IMO.

I used to hate Gerbers, but once I got into the MP400 and MP600 it completely changed my mind. I Still don't like a lot of there offerings, but if you stick in the 400 and 600 range you should be alright.  :D

Im going with Honest John.

2 reasons

1 honest just like Leatherman's honest warranty
2 it was a multipurpose warhead. The es4 is definitely multipurpose.

its a big name for such a little tool. But it truly fits him to me.

honestly :)

Did you know Honest John was also deployed by the west german army (Bundeswehr) and would have been one of the german nuclear systems through Nuclear Sharing?

I just had to do something stupid.

I used the fat man as a step so I could reach a piece of tin that was blowing in the wind hanging off a abandon home upsetting the residents of one of the parks I maintain.

i opened the pliers and stabbed them into the side of the house so i could step on it to get the reach i needed to remove the tin

I'm sure leatherman would not suggests you do the same thing but it worked.

if that didn't prove to me that the pliers won't break i can't think of a test that could.

I'm impressed.

I'm about 200 lbs it was all resting on one foot on the fat man.

. I'm amazed it still works but even better there was No damage.

I got to put Honestly John to the test this morning.

I ripped off half the wires for my trailers tail lights backing into some brush. I was getting a lawnmower.

he had me up and running in a few minutes.

I used the flat Phillips, stripper and flat driver. All worked flawlessly.

I'm kinda busy so I got to get back to it.

I just had to tell you it seen its first real use.

edit

I forgot to add the fat man was also used. It held the nuts while H.J. Turned the screws holding the light ti the frame.
