You know that sometimes for some unknown reason a voice inside you arises and tells you that you NEED a new knife or your life will end? well it happened again and when that happens its an endless hunt for the nicest knife i can find and afford.
Sooo, i was looking for a user hunting oriented knife with the only condition that it had to be something good quality and browsed almost 1000 models, had one specially bought 1 second before me and finally found a lonely auction for what seemed to be a great knife, placed a bid without much faith of ever getting it and nobody ever bidded so i got it

On to the knife then:
Its a browning model 751, called "expedition" according to the website and last year production was 2003. In brownings website states that its made from aus8a steel and what i found later checking some other sources, is that it was made during the browning japan era! so this badboy comes straight from seki japan

First some solo pics

Thats right if you payed attention (and didnt know this model before) there is a thing coming out of the handle! its a small folder that browning decided to include in a very clever way

The blade of the folder even locks and the release from the lock on the back of the folder is what "clicks" when in the handle and keeps it in place.
Finally some comparison shots with my eka w11 (my current user) this knife is so high quality that makes the eka feel like an inferior knife

Hand holding shot

As you can see the knife is in top condition with still the factoy edge on it, both the knife and the folder cut paper like butter. It appears to never have been used, it even has the discoloration spots that im 90% sure where caused by the humidity of being so much time inside the sheath.
What i liked also is that despite the folder hole the knife is a full tang design only hollowed on that part.
If anyone wants more info and pics on the folder locking system or the knife let me know

Now to put this baby through its paces
