So I built (as agreed with her father) a “my first Victorinox” in princess-look with tender pink  scales.
Pink? Am I colour blind? They look blue to me!!

Very beautiful though.
The twirly bits are great and lovin' the semi transparency

I'd say more of a purple color. Maybe your screen color needs some adjusting.

Great looking scales, Chris. She'll be a very lucky girl. :tu:

Chris, those scales are wonderful- what are they made of?

Thank you all for your positive feedback!  :tu:
The colour depends on the light - sometimes its more purple, other times more pink.
@ ironraven: The scales are made of acryl.

Purple acrylic is nice, I've been meaning to buy some of that soon. The problem with acrylic is that it is sometimes translucent in some layers so you can actually see the pins

Ah... they didnt strip the red all off eh.  At least yours looks good.  My first ever alox run looked pretty bad when I had them strip.  After that I did it myself.

I would love to actually preserve the red though, especially on black ano it would look awesome. I think some really runny epoxy would work.

I think it may have been just plain laziness on their part for not stripping it down.  They said they could do it for me so I will send another set and see what comes back before sending them anymore.  If not, I will have to strip myself following an experts advice.  I'd really rather avoid the chemicals as much as I can.
