Currently I'm experimenting a bit with the anodize of original alox scales. Here are a few of my recent work.
Wow, Peter! Those look very good. I think they deserve a separate thread so you can tell us in more detail how you made them.

Today is my day to get my Ti anodizing gear setup, but doing Al anodizing seems more involved with nastier chemicals. You need sulfuric acid I think?

I learned specially for my passion of alox-SAK aluminum to anodized. Yes the anodizing bath works with sulfuric acid. I wish you good results with your Ti anodizing work.

No, I fear that large postings with lots of information drown in the flood of comments and babblings. I anodized according to the usual procedures. 1 sodium hydroxide bath to remove the old anodized layer 2 aluminum cleaning bath. 3 annodize bath (in sulfuric acid and under current) 4 dyebath 5 sealing bath (cooking) Who wants to anodize should inform themselves properly. There are many sources of information on the web. The process is complex, you have to consider many things.
Good to see more Wenger scissors making their way into 84mm knives. Also, great job on the Phillips. It looks like it is meant to be there, and that's as good as it gets.
Yes, Glofindel, very nice incorporation of back tools into the ALOX frame. I see you added liners, for the hidden rivet, right? And to help compensate the thickness of the phillips. Excellent looking mod, Henry. And I'm a big fan of the Ranger in general.

Absolutely, I flat the top portion of Phillip to reduce the thickness and roundness of it so it has nice and look to Alox scale.Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk

The thin cadet scales are tough to work with for backtools.
I guess this counts as a mod...
My MOD made for Polish users from knives.pl with the emblem of Poland and in our national colors - white and red. Red scale and liner are anodized. ...
