The pyrograph burns the wood permanently. See my Opi here. I used it directly on the wood, so the result is dotted and not that nice but you can touch it inside your carved lines and have a good outcome. I have two sets of such tools, maybe I'll sharpen them and use your technique on a new Opinel for a more pleasing picture. I would like to carve a mermaid.

Very nice. Crow, sorry, I missed your request. But my daughter who is studying industrial design, confiscated the pyrograph and took it with her where she lives, in the island of Syros (near the well known Myconos). I'll buy another one for me, when Lidl Stores have it again.
