I see Lamnia is already lowering the price of the Garberg.  they have also moved the availability date from april to June.

If it comes down to around 50 euro, and the real world testing is good, I'd be tempted.

Boning out a pig, gave a slight twist to separate it as I pulled it through and ping!
Cutting through a fish, used my spare hand to hit my knife hand for added pressure and ping!
Gets returned with a slight bend, should be able to tweak that out, ping!

Z, were they breaking at the tip, mid blade or at the handle/blade transition?

Between mid blade and the handle transition.

So a full tang would not really help?
Have you tried the Mora robust? It has a thicker blade.

+1 Or a Bushcraft Black.  Don't see that one ever snapping under heavy use.

I haven't tried either of those, they are hard to find and expensive.

The new Robust is about $10 here.
Id be happy to help you get one if you are interested.

Thank you, if I have some spare cash later in the year I'll get back to you.

**UPDATE** Grathr sent me a Robust for free. Many thanks mate. I love trying new knives.

I'm really liking the newer type sheath. It's quicker and easier to get on and off the belt. Looking forward to using it.

Got a new Basic 546, great knife!  Was a little disappointed that the knife wouldn't lock securely in the sheath. A piece of Gorilla tape over the detent inside and it snugged up ok. Will have to fix it right at some point.

Do like the new handle on these, plenty of room for my hand.

I might just have to get me a couple without the rubberized grip.   :)

Nice pics guys. Place where i work now has huge selection of Moras. I am very tempted to get some to try out. Worst part with this is, that i get personnel discount out of everything.

I have my eyes on spoon carving knife... Maybe next payday...
