Mail call!(Image removed from quote.)My first thought was "Holy crap this thing is big!" Then I pulled out my trusty Victorinox Compact to cut it free from the package and realized just how big this knife is.(...)
The big bottom line to me is, what will this monstrosity do that a Victorinox recruit or tinker not do? And it will NOT have the under the radar innocent appearance of the SAK. It's a overly large one trick pony when you get right down to it. At least if I'm in some country where knives are restricted, my Vic recruit can open bottles, open cans, screw or unscrew both flat and phiilps screws, and has two blades. In dire emergency the tweezers can be used for a dent roach clip or splinters. I know from traveling to the U.K. and Europe, nobody gives a SAK a second glance. I don't think this thing will slide under the radar as easy. It's a bid by Lansky to simply get some money out of the tactical knife craze. Greed, pure and simply. It's for wannabe ninjas living in knife restricted places.
