The MP600 came out surprisingly clean, and they're more prone to rust than any Leatherman I've had, at least from my experience.The soil is probably protecting them from exposure to a lot of the damaging elements outside. I bet if you laid either of these tools on any surface outdoors in my area they would be utterly ruined in a year.
