Thanks Dean. From the info in this thread over at BF dates it at a 1941-1946 time frame. I dont really know why I have an interest in these knives. There not the usual type of knife I like but for some reason they have my interest at the moment.

Yep seen it, I've saved that page to a document on the laptop.
I'm betting you already know about this site but I'll post it for others.

Stumbled on this over at BladeHQ. It's the new Kershaw Dash which they exclusively carry for $65. Not sure if they had it designed, or if Kerhaw is letting them premier it for a time. http://www.bladehq.com/cat--Kershaw-Dash--2404

Bohler N690 steel with a 3.5" blade

The Dash reminds me of the Kershaw Knockout, only with scales more similar to the Kershaw Blur. The grippier scales are a nice change from the Knockout's purely aluminum finish that can be a bit slick. The Dash opens almost as fast as my Knockout, and the different blade geometry from the Knockout is nice for variety. I also like it better than the Blur. I prefer the lever opening action, and the Blur feels a bit too thin in width in my hands. The Dash is similar to the Knockout in that regard.

And now the pics:

So if you are a Knockout fan and you like the different blade geometry and the idea of gripper scales, this is a great one to add to your collection.

Thanks! I found out after I posted it here that the Dash is not a new model, but rather a model that was originally designed for SnapOn by Kershaw and sold as the SnapOn Dash

Seems like Kershaw has decided to release it now under their own brand now with the stonewash finish. Of course, SnapOn has the price jacked way up on it:

Understandable in a certain way...

Snap-on gives lifetime waranty and will replace a broken tool, no questions asked.
They didn't make the knife themselves but have to replace it if it breaks for an X amount of times.

As is a saying over here:
"It's a knife that cuts on both sides."

Craftsman used to do that, too (do they still?), and they are much cheaper.

Another recent acquisition that came in the mail this week from Collector Knives. The Lionsteel M4 with walnut scales and M390 Satin steel (note that the bright light from the window makes the blade a big shinier than in person). I really love the design and finish efforts that Molletta puts into his knives, along with providing a decent, functional leather sheath.

Last week, I happened to check Slickdeals and they posted about the Kershaw Knockout with green scales, black blade Amazon lightning deal for $35. Since I love my black scales, satin blade Knockout, how could I resist? Note that the lighting through the color off a little, so the scales don't look quite green.

Since I brought up how similar the Knockout is to the Dash, here's a comparison shot.

NOS SCC 204. I've always wonder why these looked like a Camillus 27 the civilian version of the TL-29. Robert told me these were produced by Camillus for Schrade so that would explain the similarity.     :)
