I know we have a few members in Paris, and I hope that you are all ok.

I know you have better things to do right now than check in to an Internet forum, but I'd appreciate hearing from you when you have a chance.

Extremely upsetting and I'm so tired of hearing "this is what happens when you can't carry weapons"

Trust me, I'm a full blown believer in gun rights. Born and raised in the South US.

However now is N.O.T. the time for political debate and standpoints.

Thoughts and prayers to the family's and members over there.

Bataclan venue was an Eagles Of Death Metal concert, BBC news reporting 100 dead in the venue.

The audience has not been tallied.

What? My post is about the people not showing respect?

I'm at a loss of words reading all the updates online right now. I just hate even more the people are already using this for propoganda.

It's not right, it's incredibly rude.

Also, for anyone with social media if you search "#prayforparis" there are some heart pounding posts and status' from people IN Paris right now.

Like everyone else here I too hope this gets sorted quickly and hopefully those who've been injured make a speedy recovery.

We are all in effect fueling these seemingly regular shooting and terrorist acts.
I think it's time the media and social media either embraced some constraint or were forcibly gagged to allow all the affected countries time to gather their intelligence and work together to stamp this out properly once and for all - without the worlds media spotlight giving these people what it is they're seeking.....attention.

Like a toddler that seeks to shock......the best remedy is to ignore.

And as I got more fire up, I finally recieved the call.

My first Cousin Nick is in Paris with his wife and toddler. They are safe.

I feel better, but angry and upset all at the same time.

My absolute anger here is that there will no doubt be children waking up today who will have lost both their parents last night. Families will have been ripped apart by this. Their world has been completely destroyed.

I say ALL Social media and Mainstream Media stop any further reporting, discussions etc.
And let all world leaders work together and stamp this disease out once and for all.

IS work on fear - so don't give them coverage.

I feel for those affected last night - I can't even begin to imagine the numbness and emptiness they must be feeling right now.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

This is a filthy thing. I hate violence, I think it's stupid and counterproductive. Seeing how acts of terrorism can be said to serve various planifications, some might disagree with counterproductive. We are living in interesting and increasingly insane times where respect for life (human or other) has gone to the sewer.

My blood is boiling, we must destroy evil!
You need to define evil first. I hope you include corporations like Monsanto in your definition of evil :pok: People have been drawning every day in the Aegean sea and the Mediterreanean for quite a while now and nobody bats an eyelid. I have to wonder, is the life of these people worth any less? If yes, why?

The reasons for (international) terrorism are diverse, dirty and too political to discuss here. Here's a link to some food for thought, though. Operation Gladio I'm almost certain our neo-Nazi organisation, Golden Dawn, is part of the Gladio. What is NATO's current doctrine by the way?

It would be very easy to get in one of my rhetorical rants, but that isn't what matters now. I just hope all our French members and those that might have been in Paris for any reason are ok and they and their families are safe
