There are plenty here Would a diesel be OK with the cold Canadian winter? And for the same reason, wouldn't you prefer a closed bed?The problem with most pick-up trucks is the limited sitting space at the back. Having spend many years sitting at the back, I have grown to dislike that. I have an Isuzu 4wd pick up truck as well, but now I get to sit at the front I do not desire a specific 4wd vehicle. The bigger ones have more space but do not fit into smaller trails, bigger engines, more consumption... Army 4wd vehicles are also nice to drive.. I would like to get a 4wd van, sort of like the a-team van but raised and in 4wd. Mitsubishi has some..
That's a good one D Mac! The older Toys are great, but the running boards would have to go... I have a few, but the grail would be an unmodified Willys MB.
I'm gonna sound crazy. And old Chevy Apache, with a 6.6 LB7 Duramax in it. Probably an automatic 6spd with Suncoast internals. Has to be red too. (Image removed from quote.)
Something big enough for my stuff but still fast.Maybe a Hemi Ram with 4.11 gears, ram air, magnaflow mufflers, tuner. Oh wait that is my truck.

Either truck would have full Rockwell axle swaps or go ahead and do 5 ton. 38s for Daily Driving I hate to say it but the interior would be modernized. Atleast bucket seats. (I'm not a Ford guy at all but their king ranch Leather is awesome)

(Image removed from quote.)My restored 1969 Chevy CST-10. I'm planning on selling it this spring.
Been pretty lucky with my 4x4s over the years and have had a wide variety. I'm currently on my third Jeep Cherokee (XJ) though. My last two were more off-roader than on-roader so I got myself a more civilized version for family use. It's a 1998 and sits about stock height for now. Added a 12k winch, recovery points, spare tire carrier, rack, etc. Setting it up more as an expedition rig than a crawler. This is my current dream 4x4 and I spent a long time looking for this specific color/options/mileage in the right condition. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but I'm digging it.Harley, based on your username, I always thought you might have been an XJ guy or is that for something else?

When I was growing up, we had one with a blue body and white top. Not nearly in such nice shape but I'm still fond of them, particularly in stepside form. Stepsides are inefficient uses of space, but boy, they can look sexy.
Really digging that Chevy [1969].
They strike a chord with a certain age group who either were growing up in the 70's or getting into adulthood and driving them. Everyone had a Chevy truck back then, and now you don't see very many in good shape. Driving it is like going back in time.

I'd would take a 2016 Ford F-150 extended cab 4x4. Aluminum body.(Image removed from quote.)My restored 1969 Chevy CST-10. I'm planning on selling it this spring.(Image removed from quote.)Daily driver: 2009 Chevy Suburban 4x4. I pretty much love everything about it, except the mpg.
Good one 67! I miss my (ex wife's) XJ, it was a red '87 Wagoneer with fake woodgrain sides, wished I still had it. The EFI 4 liters are good engines.
