Cheers gents.  :D

I have decided that it isn't a "collection" as long as I don't start buying shelf queens.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Just finished this one today.  It's a Boker USA 9361, but it didn't have the nice jigged Delrin scales these usually came with.  Instead, it had ugly black plastic scales.  Everything else was in good order for a 25-dollar knife, so I took it apart and made some desert ironwood scales for it.

The pile side of the blade isn't marked 9361, which I thought was strange, and there was no Boker shield on the top scale.  I hypothesize that these knives were made for government contract fulfillment.  So an "engineer's knife" I guess.

Fun project and I learned a ton.

Wow great job, how did you spin the rivets ?  Also what are the extra rivets at the ends ?

Thanks Steve.   I used an ordinary pin spinner on the rivets. On one of them I pressed too hard on my drill press and it made that countersunk/machined looking impression.  I didn’t mind it so I decided to do all six.

The flush pins on the ends are covering up my mistake.  When I was forming my scales, I used one of the original liners as a template to mark my holes.  Unfortunately I marked and drilled the bolster pin holes instead of the pivot pin holes!

The material is expensive and I had hours into forming them, so I decided to try flush-filling them with brass pins and then finish sanding them with the scales.   Next time I’m going to experiment with building the whole knife this way.   I think it would look cool, but it would mean doing the final scale finishing after the knife is completely assembled.   Have to think some more about this.

Just showing off a few of my big Trads.  The Tony Bose Stockman is a biggun.  I'll be carrying it today.

Carrying these beauties today.  After a few day of pocket time with my TB Stockman my only nit pick is the hard pull on the main blade.  The back spring is a brute so I understand.  Most of my Case knives have soft pulls so I've become familiar with them.  I don't have enough hard pull knives to compare with but I can say this is fairly hard to open blade.  The other two blade are nice the spey being very comfortable to deploy.

I just have to be thoughtful when opening the main blade and closing it.  I very much enjoy carrying and using this knife.
