I forgot to mention a few days before all this happened my car got flooded as well from a different incident. I think i should stay far away from water or I may drown.   :facepalm:

I can understand that for you, Cap, there is no sunshine behind the clouds.
People keep saying it, but when you're down in the pit, and people start to stomp your head, it doesn't feel like it'll get better.

Oh damn Capt, so sorry to hear this! I wish I could help, I mean the couch is always open, but I don't think you'd like put up with the kids come 8am with game systems. Of course you can always send MT's and Sak's over, I have no problem keeping an eye on them! :whistle:

Not sure if it is a right thing to say, but there are times when it is better to have bad news come at the same time and muscle it through, than have have them come in series. I think your lady might have breaking up in her mind before other stuffs. Stay strong, Cap! It will get better.

Thanks everyone. Sad to say things have gotten much,  much worse since I last posted in this thread. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm at the point where I really don't care about much anymore.

Just a update on the apartment. I'm still displaced and coming up on a month now.

It could always be worse though.

Capt.  man its hard hearing you aren't fairing well right now.  Brother I hoping you find strength in those around you and from your family here on MTO to get you thru this.  We are all routing for you to keep your head above water as best you can.  Heck, surviving really bad smurf sometimes is best we can hope for.   

I was looking for the quote from Shawshank Redemption when Andy escaped.  I cannot find it so I'll give you the "Aloha" version.

Sometimes the only way out is thru. 

Remember he escaped thru the sewer of about a 1/4 mile of smurf?  Going thru smurf sometimes is the only way to the other side.

Hang in there. I always believed that life is cyclical, so this only means many good things will happen to you soon to make up for this year. Someone already mentioned this but going through your insurance policy would be the first step if you have insurance. If you have receipts and pictures this would help with any claims. I would also read the fine print on your apartment rental agreement and see what they are liable for. But it seems like the neighbor is at fault so should be straightforward. Your auto insurance should also help you for your car (hope you have that too).

Not sure what State you live in but most places have a free hotline for Legal counsel. I tried them once in California and they were helpful, just don't expect someone with the experience of Matlock to answer  ;). But you may get lucky.
