I’ve just booked trips to three different circuses for July.

No better excuse to get the Topo Designs Skeletool out of the box for the day.

Hello! A long time ago I bought myself a Skeletool multi-tool with an unusual blade as a gift. Later I bought myself a Surge, and gave the Skeletool to my future wife. Many years later, while getting rid of junk, I found this miracle that was lying around unused! And it turns out that this multi-tool is already a great and valuable rarity. Tell me, are the 4 digits on the frame the date of manufacture or the serial number of a limited series? And in general, how many of these were produced in the world?

Numbers inside handles is date code mm/yy like 0214 would be february 2014 and it means when it was made. Since Skeletools are still made number of made Skeletools might be around 10 millions ore more, i think even Leatherman doesnt know how many Skeletools were made thus far.

Yes, it is still produced. But this is a limited edition Skeletool Damascus, I found information on one of the resources that 2000 pieces were produced. So I thought that this was a serial number.

I have more chores to do today, so I think a Skeletool is too minimal for today's needs... but it's my companion for morning coffee.

I have never used my RX.  What's it like to stick with only a serrated blade all day?  Also, have you tried to sharpen it yet?

I never really have the problem of only having a serrated blade - as well the Micra in my pocket, there’s a Surge in the glove box of the car, a Raptor between the front seats, and an Opinel in the boot.

In the house, many, many multitools to grab if I need something different.

Because I rotate my daily carry tools so often, very few of them have needed sharpening.

I must admit I’m not looking forward to trying to sharpen any of the serrated blades, and will probably have to buy better gear.

I’m keen to try a Magnacut serrated blade when I can get my hands on one.

Hope everyone is having a great, first Sunday of this very new year! Here's my latest tool/fidget/toy; it hasn't been a week since I have this "pre-loved" Skele, and already has a new blade, and bits (PH1&2 - 3/16; T15 - 1/8). What a waste being so skeptical all these years!!!!  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
