This is ground breaking stuff isn't it? It's kind of like when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon!

It really is.  I know I recall many who have wondered if this was possible.  Many who have whispered about giving this a go.  Our man from Spain has taken on this challenge and a wonderful step in MT history.

One of my fellow mods has awarded TP with the Hackers Badge - it goes a small way to recognising the paradigm shifting work carried out here on this very thread. I feel akin to being a fly on the wall in Einsteins laboratory or Jack Parsons Jet Propulsion Lab.

Anyhoo, congrats TP for a well earned Hackers badge  :salute:

Thanks you all folks!!!
The first badge I requested, and the first one I feel I deserve. It's a pleasure and I feel honoured to be rewarded by this community, which is TBH the best forum I've ever been part of. Awesome days, stories, moments and discoveries thanks to you all.
Keep it like this!!   :tu:

PS: Spirit is ready and willing to take any other request(s) for modding, experimenting or just letting "curious minds" apply their ideas to it.  :salute:

How is this thread not stickified yet ??!

I just wanted to thank ThePeacent for answering that one question I had about the Spirit's locking mechanism. I always assumed that should the little spring go missing I'd still be able to use the thing by carefully holding the tabs in the locked position. Now I know I can trust my Spirit.

Thanks man, badge well earned :salute: and thanks Vic :hatsoff:

Haha thanks, it was the least I could do for this awesome second family I have here.   :salute:

Also, the Spirit doesn't belong to any old-retired tools museum, it's still in my EDC rotation and on my belt as I type this.
No worries of scratching the finish or wearing out the tool, it's already pretty destroyed   :ahhh
