Oh, memories... Summer camp as a kid in France back end of the 70s and just having enough money to buy me a smaller Opinel, I even modded it (already??) with a small lanyard eyelet screwed into the handle. I'd had it for a long time since then but then lost it... pity. I might attempt a renewed acquaintance...

I've still got two No 7's but I think I'll end up giving these away. They're great knives that take a wicked edge, but they never find their way into my pocket.  :-\

I'll either pocket a SAK or another spring knife (traditional slippie). There's simply no reason for me to choose the Opinel instead. :shrug:
