Freeport Knife Company in Freeport, Maine.  If Tim can't help you, Doug at Freeport probably can.

I have a crappy little ikea knife, a less crap kitchen devils one, a 15cm Vic. Fibrox and one of their excellent tomato knives.

And then I have this monster...

With a cutting edge of around 26cm I have no practical use for it whatsoever.  I bought it for a pittance at a carboot sale around this time last year.  I figure its prime mod fodder.  I lack a nice outdoors fixed blade so figured I may be able to do something with it  Any ideas?

Neil

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I've got some huge f-off "chef's knife" for hacking bones, pumpkins, etc.

My Victorinox "chef's knife" for general slicery,

and a little sheepsfoot paring knife for most food prep.

Pocket knife for cheese/fruit etc (if I'm eating it myself)

Bother, that was the only pic my google foo brought up and I was thinking nope, no spare metal up top.

Who am I kidding anyway, this is how it'll go.  I chop it about the length I'm happy with then reduce the height to where it doesn't look wrong and the balance feels all right.  Final shape will then be determined at random by how me and the file are getting along that day  :ahhh

At least it'll be unique :D
