I do love when a knife comes with a nice proper, even bevel. It's one of the few fit and finish aspects of many knives, I find it ridiculous that you can buy knives from reputable companies and get horrible edges...

Especially since I don't have reprofiling equipment... My BK15 bevel is almost nonexistent by the ricasso/choil, and I have no way to remove the amount of material I'd need to for a decent edge, it's frustrating. While my BK17 came with one of the best, most even bevels I've had on a knife ???

I suppose everyone (people sharpening) has their on and off days, I just wish companies would monitor it a little closer. Glad the buck is good! Never had an issue with buck, spyderco, or sog  :tu:

As an aside, are most/all blades final sharpened by hand? Or is that just higher quality knives? My sog fielder has one of the best edges I've seen on a knife, and not knowing about the industry, is it possible it was done by a machine?

I can't wait until I can invest in some leather, by far my favorite sheath material  :drool:

I go ahead and buy back up sheaths because I always wait till I'm either broke, the sheath/knife is discontinued or the sheath maker is out of business. So. I'm avoiding future disappointment by going broke now, :D

A few more things are coming in this/next week but I'm about done on buying high end knives for a while. Have to build my savings back up.  :facepalm:
