No. That's not real. A real light saber would slice through the wall if laid like that  :)

Problem started as soon as I held its little friend, I was planning on black micarta because I'm itching to do an Impala horn effect, but this one is screaming for wood....
......just so happens I've got the most beautiful Olive wood that's been curing anything from 25 to 30 years.  I'll have one piece professionally cut next week, and I expect it to be a no-brainer...
Wood however is not exactly my forte, and if I do woof handles it'll have to get a leather sheath, not plastic.
I lack the most basic of leather working tools, so I'm leaning towards plastic with leather stuck to the outside.

Seasoned olive wood sounds good G!

This serrated BK11 came in yesterday. Its part of a exclusive to Amazon which includes tan sheath, micrata handles and a Ka-Bar belt clip for the sheath. I found it on the bay as the Amazon deal is long gone.

:salute:

Thanks  :D

I also flattened an old past-its-prime round file that will hopefully become a little biltong knife for my dad, and then there's brand new Gedore 23mm waiting for some attention.
And 2 Land Cruiser leaf springs!

I realized a while ago I like Scandinavian knives more than just about anything else, I recently came to the conclusion that does and will influence the knives I'll hopefully make in the future.
This one it turns out is special, its not silly sharp when I cut paper, but when I cut wood it makes me smile.
It's a beautiful knife, and considering what I paid for it on the other end of the earth from where it was made, I honestly think all of you should get at least one!  :D
AHTI Mesastaja, most likely my favourite knife right now  8)

I found #14 gloves this weekend that fit better, my hands are rather large so the taper of the grip almost forces my hand onto the blade.
I will buy every AHTI I can afford and lay my hands on

It is  :salute:

There are some rough spots, like the spine of the blade, but if it was too pretty and perfect you wouldn't want to use it.
I still can't get over the price, the Leuku 145 is bit more than double the price but definitely worth it and for sure next on my list.

Thanks, more to follow soon I hope.

I've only had stolen moments here recently, still want to do a fixed blade collection update thread.

I suspect many will be surprised by the size of the knife, actually have the perfect knife for a comparison shot, both Scandinavian and the same price..........hopefully later tonight.

Nice looking Ahti Metsästäjä. They are common, and valued puukkos around here. You should get to know Wood Jewel puukkos also.

Hope to see your collection.

Mora Bushcraft is a bit more expensive, the Mora Companion black blade special edition is severely overpriced, and almost exactly the same as the AHTI.
