Well, this kinda shows all of them, I guess it doesn't help that some of them are in sheaths, and there are a few others floating around,, JR

I picked these up at a carboot sale on Sunday ::)

A nice 3 bladed knife with 'Silver Steel' and a little oval shape on the tang but I don't thinks its Taylor eye

A nice pipe smokers knife in good condition made by Richards in Sheffield

An old pruning knife, marked 'Forged steel Foreign made'
which I think means 'made in Germany after the war'

All the blades have been broken on this one :o and the largest re-profiled as a wire stripper, the plastic 'jigged bone' looks like it has melted at the edges, Please don't ask me why I bought it
It might say
Imperial
PAT NOs 2170537 2281782

A really nice knife made by William Rodgers, Sheffield
Horn scales, brass liners and 'I CUT MY WAY'  stamped on the tang  :)
as you can see its been looked after and sharpened a million times

Apart from the pipe smokers knife all the above blades have been sharpened until there's not much steel left, most are not ideal for pocket carry  :) :-\ :(

you lucky dude! I wouldn't want to carry them in my pockets too. I will just put them on my shelf and adore them as they bask in their rustic, old time glory while sipping my coffee.

Thanks, I'm having a 'cleaning' session as we speak, I guess they will end up on a shelf one day

I got this interesting box cutter/knife from LIDL.

I already have the single blade version and it is a solid product, cuts well and lasts.
They come with 10 spare blades and I am still on my 1st one.

Apart from having two locking (Backlock) blades it also locks the blades in the closed position, so you need to press the backlock lever to open the blades. This is an interesting safety feature (used in other LIDL knives too) but it means that you cannot open the blades with just one hand.
The single blade version does not have this extra safety feature.

No, I will just hang it from my neck using the lanyard supplied, for easy access.

My latest folder... Benchmade 9100 Auto Stryker. It's kinda cool but not exactly my style. I think I'm going to work a trade for a Spyderco Paramilitary with a plain edge blade, I'm not a big fan of the combo blade.

Got this yesterday. Arthur Wright spear point, brass liners nickel bolsters, rosewood scales, not sure of the steel but I think it's carbon. Hand made, all for less than £20! Heard mixed reviews but the one I got was a beut. Solid traditional UK legal pocket knife.

nice

When you get a good one from A. Wright they are very solid.
I gave one as present and is being used prety hard, with no problems.

I would assume the blade is Carbon too.

Yours, seems to be this model, in rosewood:

Yup, nice knife, and glad to hear you got a good example. Probably C70 carbon steel and will rust quite quickly if you let it. It will take a very nice patina though, and you can get them very sharp very easily. Enjoy  :tu:
