Damn, I wish I could have one of these...  >:( >:(
Looks fantastic Benner and incredible piece of work, Kwakster..  :tu:
It certainly is one of the nicest looking production knives I have and one of the rare pieces I instantly fell for.  I have a real soft spot for this knife.  :D
Here's another pic...
Does anyone know of a folder similar/or equally tactical as Benner's, just without the thumb-stud..?  ??? :)

How's it working out for you, John?

Good looking knife and looks to be very decent for the money.

Lately  I'm really liking my folders that have flippers.

Easy opening of course, but I also really like the added safety provided by a flipper to prevent injury if the lock should ever fail.  Also should prevent running your fingers onto the edge during a hard stab.

.

It works for me  ;) I have filed the scales near the liner lock so I can use my thumb to open also  :tu:

And if you look closely I filed the scales where there's jimping now it affords better grip IMO

But yeah the flipper is great if ever I need speed to open it lets hope I never have to  :salute:

Hope you never have to, but in an emergency it's very nice to have an easy opening knife.  Once in the aftermath of a car crash, I was unable to open my Vic Tinker when I really needed a blade to cut a seat belt.

Besides the speed advantage, I find flipper knives very convenient to use with gloves.

When working out in the yard wearing heavy work gloves, I can just tap the flipper and flick my wrist to open the blade.  Easier opening with gloves even than a Sypderco.

.

Why Allan cant you have knives that have them?  if it is could you not get one with the thumb stud taken out assuming they're screwed on?

Oh yeah, Denmarks knife-laws are hard. Spyderco even produced a DKPK, so a UKPK with a so tiny Spyderhole that it was not a OHO anymore. The only Denmark legal Spyderco (ok, and the BUG knife) IIRC.

Whats the true definition of OHO then, as you can open nearly any blade one handed, albeit a tad difficult on some but its possible... does it have to be one swift movement to be classed as OHO?

No if you can hold the knife in your teeth and use one hand to open that counts

Yes, it's a long and rather tragic story but back to the big question, Folder Boys..:
Does anyone know of a folder similar/or equally tactical good looking as Benner's, just without the thumb-stud..?

 :D :D

I just got two of these 2ho Crater C33 today..:

Today a friend of mine asked me about my favourite knife brand, and I answered "Fällkniven, I have 2 and a kitchen knife and like all three of them. SOG are pretty cool too, I have 4. Oh, and Spyderco." He asked, "So, how many Spydies do you have, for it is your Number 3 on the list?". Ahm...

Guess I will have to re-think my list, but I still like my Fällknivens best...

(BTW: I ordered 4 blades today, 3 are Spyders)

Just noticed how much more belly it has, almost to the point of recurve compare to later chinooks.

I bought this today:

http://www.altrec.com/petzl/spatha-knife-small

It's a very simple non-locking knife. I wanted it for my pack and its only duty will be for cutting rope.  :tu:  I really like the simplicity of this one.

Those are pretty nice knives. I know several guys that have on clipped to their harnesses climbing at all times. They weigh so little, and cut pretty good. The OHO is kind of hard to do when you are new to the knife though, I thought. Hope you enjoy it

Thanks!  One thing to note is that only the serrations are sharp which I think is a good thing on this knife. I've been playing with this knife all night and I really love the design. I wouldn't mind having one in titanium, but heck this knife only cost $20 so I'm happy.  :D

Nice

The blades look very thick or is that just the light angle making them appear so?

One of those Tanto's if you'd be willing to trade would be fine.  Partially serrated or plain edge.  :)
