Don't saw it all off, leave about 5-10mm so that it mushrooms over the edge a little. It helps to hold it on.

It looks a good fit.  :tu:

Just random stuff.
Plenty of pics but no axe work
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.

Chunky gaffa tape and neatly folded socks - it's your nookie night?

I agree on the Gaffa tape, not sure what the fabric is. Bondage agent and non bondage agent...... Tape and Fabric Gimp axe mask?

Day 20 photos

Well, strong winds and all that rain broke one of the branches and it made for a clean up day. Was like 10 or 12 yards long.

I bet your 9 to 11 neighbours were happy when you cleaned the branch out of their yards

Great job  :salute:

Day 21

Only a bit of a scar but the puck is one again. Bruce still had a very small nick in the blade that may be able to be seen as causing a line in the cut in the first pic. 5-10 minutes with the puck and he's cutting clean again. The puck is still rougher than the diamond stones and doesn't strop out all the scratch marks, but it is pretty quick and I only used the fine side

Day 21

I was stropping some of my knives, and figured I should give some TLC to Chip Chop as well.  Strop is definitely an essential part of my sharpening and repairing tool, don't know I'm gonna do without it.

Oooh, that looks tasty!

How about sharing a few of the recipe details...... :pok:

For sure!  I knew if anyone gonna ask, it's gonna be Chef Nix! :D

Here are some ingredients:

For a big bowl of noodles(roughly enough for two, or one hungry man):

Egg noodle (about 1/2 bowl)
Mince pork (1 to 1.5 cup)
Diced Shiitake mushroom (1/2 cup)
Chopped Dried sea scallop/dried shrimp (1/4 cup, mostly for taste, can be found in Chinatown or Asian grocery store, but can do without or used frozen shrimp)
Green onion (1/5 cup)
Parsley (1/5 cup)
Deep fried red onion/shallots (2/5 cup, can also be gotten in Asian grocery store)

Seasoning:
Fish sauce
Sesame oil
White pepper
Salt
Oyster sauce
Sugar

1) Prep the Shiitake mushroom.  If you've gotten them dried kind, it needs to be put in water to be 'rehydrated'.  Once diced, stir fried with tiny bit of oyster sauce and sugar to give some flavor.

2) Prep the dried sea scallop/dried shrimp, some dried sea scallop needs to be soaked overnight.  Dried shrimp is easier, just soaked in warm water before cooking it.  If you want, using deep fried shrimp could also be a great alternative.

3) Deep fried some shallot till deep brown crispy, or best yet, get it from a store in a bottle

4) Sitr fried together the Miced pork with 1/2/3 above with sesame oil/salt and tiny bit of fish sauce.

5) Cooked the egg noodle and rinse dry

6) Stir fry everything together with veg oil/sesame oil, once finished, sprinkle as much chopped spring onion/parsley/deep fried shallot as you want on top, add in a tiny bit of fish sauce if you need more seasoning.

I really like the mined pork recipe here, really versatile, you could frozen it for later use, and it's an interesting alternative for taco/nan, or probably can use it for fried rice with eggs.

Deep fried shallot in a bottle, just so random pix I got online, but this is the soul of this whole recipe and adds mojo to everything you put it on... :tu:

I have a puck from Gransfors, and though the appearance looks similar to the Lansky, I think it felt more like fine and medium; it actually works well for knife repair, but probably work a little slow for axe repair.

It'd be nice to have a something of both world, maybe instead of knife use, Fällkniven DC4 would be a better axe sharpener...
