Powernoodle Day 10

I could not take a pic of it, because it would have required 7 hands, but I used the 112 to ream out three holes in the lower fairing of my 2009 Suburban in order to do a fog light assembly replacement.  The plastic on an 11 year old vehicle is dried out and not flexible, and doesn't want to cooperate with my plans.  Changing the bulbs in a Suburban is a pain, because you have to remove the wheel well liner and approach the bulbs and light assemblies from that direction.  I've owned other vehicles where you can just reach right down from the engine bay and replace bulbs with no effort.  Silent cursing was effective, and I got the fog light assembly installed.  Yellow Explorer pictured.  Its blades, being not locking, were sub-optimal for reaming out those holes.  I am enjoying the heft of the G10 112, and dedicated my right front pocket as its habitat.

Some days, you've gotta wonder just what the engineering department was thinking...   On my Granddad's Yanmar-built John Deere 3038E, you have to remove several panels just to check the oil. They stuck the dipstick in a really hard to get-at place. And that's something you're supposed to do regularly. Every other piece of equipment (including the 20-year older Deere 5400), it's easy to check the oil.

I bought a glass crown-cap bottle of Nehi today, and should have tried that. But I am not sure how well it would work on a nylon plastic handle.  I chose my MiniChamp, as it was in the chest pocket of my jacket, and thus easier to get at.

Day 10.

Opened a package containing a new pack of ink. Interestingly enough, I bought two. 2X black, another black/color, but the black/color pack was split off and shipped with another item (I guess out of a different warehouse). Shouldn't even be buying ink for this printer as much--this cheaper HP is on its way out, and I'm thinking about getting the new Epsons that use cheaper ink bottles, even if they are more expensive.

Also noticed--despite my box saying November 2019, the tang stamp says 2018.
