Water bottle tape/PET cordage.

Stumbled upon some neat videos showing all types of ways to reuse plastic water bottles. I thought this was a neat idea. This was my down a dirty test to see if it works. IT DOES. Now I'll do a better job and use a razor blade as my cutter. What shall I tie up?

Must be a much greater range of coloured bottles on the market in his country than mine, and much larger bottles, judging by the coils he was able to create......

the only part of that content farm music video that interested me was using it as poor mans shrink wrap....I'm not entirely sure how well that would work, as he already used heat to smooth out/shrink the plastic originally before cutting....

If you're into this, can you give it a shot and see how it stands up in the real world.....

. I thought the heat shrinking was interesting as well. I have mostly the clear 16 or 20 oz bottles. The video was lame but there are more out there. It was really down a dirty cutter I made which was interesting to see the tape just unravel as I pulled.

Thanks for sharing. I’d never seen a water bottle tripped like this before. Makes me think about keeping one in my hiking bag along with my reusable Camelback bottles. Dual purpose and all

Sadly trash is everywhere. I'm sure even in what we'd think was remote location there are water bottles. With just a little effort and items usable cordage can be made.

I had seen the making string from bottles before but using it to fix tool handles is a great idea!
That might come in handy in the future
