DAY 7
Again, a bit of a slow day :dunno: However, the PX opened a very fine bottle of european beer  :drink:

It was gifted to me at Xmas from a good friend in Italy and I didn't have an occasion worthy of it, until today.

Cheers all...

Day 7

Made bourbon pork chops. Finished eating before I remembered to take a picture.

Here are the spoils.

Must’ve been good - not many scraps left!

Looks like a nice day there for a hike SVL. It’s beautiful here today, I was out for a bike ride today.

Day 7

Not much action for the SAK today, just opened up a package of cheese. I’d just finished taking a beauty shot on the rocks when this bumblebee flew in and decided he wanted to be in the photo.

Excellent use of the scissors SVL in removing the label (or razor wire) I do the same to all T-Shirts, Shirts, Jumpers (Sweaters across the pond) I hate them

Nice shots  :like: I see it made a "Bee - Line" straight for the SAK.

See what I did there... :pok: Oh never mind, I'll get my coat

Some friends visited for a "socially distanced" gathering. Many beers sacrificed their lives during the course of the afternoon  :salute: :drink:

It is weird. Sometimes they don’t bother me at all, so I wear the item for years. Then comes a day when it drives me crazy and I have to remove it.

Day 8

I'm not much of a morning person I'm afraid. Any time I do wake up strangely early I love it. As such I don't usually have much tool usage in the morning, but when something is keeping me from my coffee it gets immediately cut open!

No usage yet, staged picture.
I have a bunch of these and felt like something a little different today.

They definitely taste better on a backpacking trip

DAY 8

Today the PX was assisting with the replacement of a plug but I was called away on urgent business (food) just before I started and left my phone downstairs for the "after shot"

Moreover, as Mrs Surge required the plug on her hairdryer replacing "pronto" I decided that discretion was the better part of valour and I bravely ran away  :ahhh

I remember my brother and I were up in the BWCA. Our first trip, our first portage which was 3.1 miles up and down single person path with hidden rocks. We packed heavy too, being so young and virile. BIG MISTAKE! But our dinner that night was vege-chili hiker pack style, the stuff from REI, I remember to this day feeling when the energy hit me. It was like a cold shower after a hot day. It was a great night. Thanks for the memory EB.

Yes thanks SVL - it was a long, dreary, drab winter in these parts, but when the trees pop out, it's pretty nice around here.  I have a friend from Australia, he worked here for a year and was amazed when all of the trees came to life, he doesn't get that where he is (it just stays nice all year there, lol). It's the best time of year in my opinion.  Doesn't last long - by the end of July the lawn will be baked and brown, so we really appreciate it while it's here!

Great job there! Nice to be able to use your SAK to help the Mrs. out. We were in the car yesterday and mine needed a knife for something.  Is it wrong how I felt when she said "wow, that's a sharp knife!"?

DAY 9

It was a bit of another slow one today as I had to go to work and I can't take the PX there but can take the Surge (work issued  ::) )

However, I was sent out to cut some herbs in the garden once home. I think it's Greek basil but I'm not sure. I just went where pointed  :dunno:
