That’s cool that you get work supplies Surge, Surge!
Nice snap too!

Cheers BCL  It was a trial and then they opted for Gerbers as they're cheaper.

Now they've opted for an even cheaper Gerber (and the newbies are lucky if they get one of those) Most just get a lock-knife  ::)
They don't like it up 'em!

Day 9

Today ... I tore open a plastic bag like a normal person.  but there was a rat-tail of a piece of plastic that kept getting in the way as I was trying to empty the bag out... So of course I just clipped that cord of plastic off, like any normal SAK fan.

Do you know the only problem with what I consider the perfect food?  You don't really need a knife to eat it.

What do you use your knife on that's not really necessary... just for the fun factor?

Yep - I intentionally pick canned goods without the tab on the top...  even if they cost a little more than their pull-tab equipped counterparts... lately it's been hash and black olives.

Thanks Tet and :iagree: Furthermore, If that's what it means to be wrong, I don't want to be right  :2tu:

I used the can opener last week just for fun - first time I've done it in years.  I also go out of my way to use the cap lifter to open bottles that need one.

Day 9

I used the cap lifter to pry out a nail that was so far in I couldn't get it with the hammer.  I'm building a little tree fort/platform for my girls near our house.  I didn't get a photo but I did get one of my reward for all of that hard work....

I used my Soldier on a can of hash last Sunday morning, yummy

Heres a little challenge completion secret - that can of tuna can do double duty. It can become dinner when you don't feel like making anything.... and it can help you come up with a daily use and picture if you don't want to be as boring as I am.

That said, I haven't twisted off a twist-off bottle cap.... ever?

Day 9

Cleaned the cars today (as you can see it was needed ) and i used the bottle opener to loosen tried mud so i could vacuum it. After that I gave it a good clean. Guess I should have taken a picture afterwards to show the difference

They're very excited!  I'm not super handy but I've been learning over time and I know how to use youtube!  My 7 yr old is a little more adventurous, so I'm making a higher level for her and a lower level for the 5 yr. old.  I got the lower level framed in today, just have to put the ladder on and the deck boards.  Then some more hours figuring out how to do the rest!  I'll try to get a pic with my SAK to show off a bit

Nice job SVL! I love the larger bottle opener on the pioneers.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much difference those extra 2 mm makes! (sounds like there's a joke in there but I'm not clever enough to make it right now  :D)

:iagree: I really like the stronger tools on Alox. Going back to a 91mm always feels like handling a toy

That sounds really nice! My dad built me one back when I was a kid, and I used the heck out of it  :D

It's even worse when you go to an 84mm.... I like the size of the blades, especially the smaller one.  The openers seem a little unsettling - though I'm sure they work just fine.  (TBH I have never used them for anything other than drivers)

Now one month next year we'll all do a 111mm challenge.  Then you'll really see what a Vic screwdriver can do.   :mn:

I believe you, but a 111mm is just overkill for most of my MT needs.  :dunno:
