Lovely knives David.  :salute:

:iagree:  A great pair to honor Dean.

Dean sorely tempted me with some of his pics of Bull Noses.

Day 1. Not much of a Case user, but here are my two Micartas, both users. I'd love for G-10 to entirely replace Delrin. Bear and Son are doing it that way it seems for some models. Case does not yet offer a carbon steel knife in G-10. That would be the bee's knees. Tru-Sharp stinks.

Case Carhartt Wharncliffe in "Rugged Duck" G-10 and Jumbo Stockman in "Earth Brown G-10. Same thing, just different names. I honestly don't get why they went with an as-ground finish on the Carhartt. Both were pretty expensive when first released, but I took advantage of clearance sales and got them cheaply.

The Stockman is from an "Earth Brown" series done in 2017 that included the Teardrop Jack, Trapper, and Jumbo Stockman. The interesting thing is that it's one of very few Case knives that are serrated. Serrations aren't Spyderedge or Veff in terms of their efficacy, but they work. Too bad the Mini Trapper (and when I ordered the Trapper for my Granddad, I at first thought it was the Mini T) didn't see use in that line--with the clip blade PE, and the Wharncliffe SE, it would be one heck of a knife!

Day 1

GEC Churchill and new to me Utica Jack with Stainless covers.

(Image removed from quote.)

Good pair buddy. Dean liked the Churchill and reckon he would have liked that stainless covered Utica Jack since it wouldnt have developed any patina aka rust on the covers anyway.   :D
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

Some really nice knives so far.

Day 1
Today I thought I’d start with my Case Battleship Canoe.  It helped me open a few boxes today, as well as, open a package of coffee.

Oh, that's a lovely one.  I grew up with a spear point pocket knife but they're not such a common trad pattern here.

Nice Opinel.  Is the Katari for a ride/hike or just an edc.

I really really love the simplicity of barehead jacks, I wouldn't mind that one... maybe with a clippy blade.  :like:

Day 2 addendum.

Trapper got a bit of use clearing some small branches from a lesser used path on my morning dog walk.  Ranger is still furloughed so the path maintenance has understandably been lacking.
