Day 7

Package opening duty for the Outrider.
Had to buy a 3 knife lot to get this one I was after.  It's in rough shape, but I wanted the Bucyrus-Erie inlay and this fills the gap until I find a mint-in-box one.
I was surprised it had a silver tipped tweezers.

A little about the company:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucyrus-Erie

Nice! Bucyrus has an office around here, or at least they used to. They still produce a small line of large surface mining machines (though CAT and Komatsu are king in the mines around here). I mostly see the name on very old, junked dragline excavators.  While used and carried, it's still in really good shape. I've always noticed those old SAKs seem much higher polished.

DAY 7

I used the Phillips screwdriver on the WorkChamp to open the battery compartment on my Sudoku game.
Probably my favorite part of the Work Champ

Day 1. 1st thing went to office to collect the beast. Super happy. My 1st 111mm.  Uses already in 4 hours. Cut up old credit card with scissors. Use knife to open envelopes of mail. And lastly cut off labels.

Congrats on your first 111 mm. If they can be carried legally in your country, they are a great alternative to the 91/93 mm SAKs.

Day 7: Bird seed freezes overnight, so I loosened it up a bit with the combo tool 🐦🐦

Day 07

Freed some crap which clogged the drain. Marlins pike is the right tool for fishing in drains, but the WC XL is too wide for a really efficient cleaning.

Creative use of the Marlin Spike  :hatsoff:

Day 07. Note to self. There's almost as much cheese in this Challenge as 111mm. I must get a few cheese shots. But busy day driving the 'pooter and all the RAF Hunter has done is more post opening. So here's a shot with my Vic watch for today.

DAY 7

So, as I'm not at work, or on a SAR shout. Here's a pic' incorparating my 111mm & Batman carry, to cover both challenges.

It's my only EDC pouch type thing (but does come with a belt clip) with my Rescue and SwissTool  :tu:

However, absolutely no uses at all today  :dunno: :ahhh :ahhh

111mm Day 07 (already!) :

Some light snow this morning for Adventure Boy's stroll:

Later, a bit of danger.

Anyone here like Kimchi?   :dunno:

Mrs Nix does not like the smell of Kimchi. One careless slip would have put me in the dog house for the rest of 2021......

To her credit, she did try a bit....and liked it!   :tu:

They look great, thanks for the pics! Does a 111 mm fit in those slots? It looks like the top photo is pioneers?

Looking forward to seeing the ‘62 in its new home, could be any day now!
Top photo is cadets which completely fit in the slots, 91’s and 93’s sit up a little which actually looks better I reckon, 111’s and up to 130’s even do fit but obviously take up more room, the lid closes fine though, see pics below with a bit of a mixture to help gauge it

Light duty is 2g lighter than the OG, and the grind is different.  OG has a compound grind like the Kansbol, while the LD has regular Mora Scandi grind.

Thanks.
