I wish I hadn't seen that

That clock really appeals to my amateur radio side,,,, has that vintage Heathkit vibe to it.
 :like:

That it a whacky looking clock! :like: :like:

This retro looking clock looks great!  Who makes it? :pok:

Loving the clock!  :o  Is it a custom piece or can I buy one somewhere?

Loving the clock!  :o  Is it a custom piece or can I buy one somewhere?

I'm really pleased with it, seems very well made and a heavy beast....if open it up maybe they've added a brick inside!
Can't always be sure with Kickstarter projects but this is exactly as advertised....FYI

Day 29
October 29

Scissors! Yes, they cut.

(Unlike some china-made MT’s whose quality is hit-or-miss, can’t even cut t-shirt tags)

For the sanitizer packaging….geez, you think a simple cut and slit along a perforated line would open a bottle, but nooooo, I was this close to using pliers to grip the plastic wrap to tear it open.

Day 28: one of the displays I've started putting together--these are mostly knives relating to the mining industry and some of my Granddad's old gear from his time underground in the mines, as well as some stuff him and I picked up later.

Day 27

A comparison between some SAKs that would more commonly find their way into my pocket and the challenge selection:

Day 27 (catch up post)
(Image removed from quote.)
Sorry for the belated posting, carzy busy yesterday and this is the catch up post.

This is the Wenger Dynasty series Lancelot, basically is a 7 layers Monarch with metal scale and artwork.  In terms of tool set, it's quite similar to the Champion Plus in the Vic camp.

Day 28
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)
If I remember correctly, United woods is one of the last 'series' collections offered by Wenger before it switch hand to Victorinox in 2013.  The five different models have wood scales coming from 5 different continents, hence the name United Woods.

Wowee that is truly a box of beauty  :like:

DAY 28   My Apprentice with some parsley and dill my wife planted to attract butterflies, and some cilantro to attract me (to street tacos  :tu:).

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice pic FM  :like:

By the way, if I didn't know this is Coco, I would have assumed you got a new donkey pet. :D

Prost!

On that note...Day 28

Tried to get the cork out again. Failed again. The little smurf is stuck in there good. Is it any wonder I prefer beer and whiskey?

Day 29

Opened up a pack of ink cartridges for my better half’s printer with this lovely Wenger Soldier M61 1965 BYSAK.  There’s something about those red scales on these early alox knives, soldiers or old crosses…..

I'm assuming you knew that the cork screw pivots beyond vertical so you can get the cork started by mechanical leverage by pressing the body of the knife against the side of the mouth of the bottle while lifting against the other side of the knife. If you still can't get the cork out it's time to use a purpose built tool or try something drastic.  I once had a cork so stubborn that I had to drill a hole in the cork so air could get out of the bottle while I forced the cork down into the bottle. After that, it's hammer time.

Day 29:

Raining today.  It's a hassle to get to the key ring in my pant pocket when I'm all swaddled in Gortex, so the spare house key I keep mated to a Pocket Toolchest goes in an outside pocket.

Hope the issue with uploaded photos is fixed soon.

The delights of a pub tap takeover...

Just a pity some swine walked out of the pub with my coat before the end of the night. Means I'm also down a set of Bluetooth earphones, a portable charger and my work badge. ::)
