SAK Tools - Blades, Scissors and Saws compared
on: January 08, 2021, 08:08:59 AM
Having a bit of time on my hands this afternoon and always keen for an opportunity to mess about with my SAK’s, thought I’d put together this size comparison of main blades, scissors and saws.

I know similar things have been done before but hey why not

Not completely exhaustive, no 75mm or 95mm for instance, but think I’ve covered the majority. I don’t have every model to compare differences and haven’t tried to add in secondary blades such as the electricians sheepfoot, anyway for your SAKKING pleasure

Nice pics!

Are the SwissCard scissors the same as the 74mm ones? I've never checked :P

Interesting- I’ll have to compare my SwissCard scissors and those on the 74s - never occurred to me they were the same size, but makes sense!  :tu:

Stumbled on this thread...

Man oh man, there are some lovely SAKS!!!

Excellent pics and comparison notes. It helps to see them all in relation to the other ones. Love the big  knives, they just scream "Bring me to the BBQ!!!"

Cheers, Pete

In the spirit of Simon’s idea of bumping up a few old threads, here’s one comparing blades, scissors and saws I created a few years back

Great pics! It's amazing how many different versions of the same tools Vic has been - and still is - producing over the years. Alas, it also makes you understand why they are thinning out their portfolio. It cannot be very cost efficient to produce that many variants.

Cheers,

Simon

I remember the thread from before.  Good one.  Great pix.  You know something I always wished Victorinox would do?  I wish they would have put a date stamp on the knives somewhere.  Something like a 12-03 for December 2003.  Stamp it on the can opener or on the exposed part of an aluminum liner covered by the corkscrew or back phillips.  Surely would have been interesting for the collector.  Even a year stamp alone or code letter would have been welcome.  Best wishes.  Gary

:iagree: ...and it would make finding BYSAKs sooo much easier (and cheaper)...
