Day 27
Almost at the end of this challenge so I have to do the Castaway test that I do in every knife challenge.  Will the Buck 110 get me into a coconut if I was stranded on a desert island.  This one was almost a fail. The Buck 110 wasn't the wrong knife, but I chose the wrong coconut.  This coconut had been in my yard for months and was so dry that it was very difficult to cut through the fibrous husk.  I persevered, however, as I knew you all were counting on me.  Yes. The Buck 110 can cut open a coconut.

Sounds good, i will keep my eye on them then, if they survive i will move them to a better place next year i think :tu:

i know, i should really get myself an electricians knife but the Buck laps it up  :tu:

Day 27 made some candle wax cotton pads, no joy with the flint and steel but i tried it later with the ferro and worked well, needs more practice probably

Nice kit !

What about washing your hands less often?  :dunno:

...nah, actually I agree with Jack  :D
That's true.  On one hand I do love the natural patina that I got from normal use and handling, but on the other, my OCD kinda compels me to force patina it to my own liking.

Great use and test, I gonna do one with a young coconut before the end of the challenge too!

Barry, what's the 110 sitting on top?  Is it some kind of lighting equipment? :pok:

Saw a fox this morning crossing our road with a big fat rabbit in it's mouth . It was good to se a fox around here again. We used to see them all the time up until about ten years ago when the coyotes pushed them out. I haven't seen as many coyotes this year and have now been seeing the foxes again.

Foxes are more desirable. Coyotes can run in pack and can and do kill and eat small dogs and cats .

Nice! Sounds like nature is slowly balancing it out  :tu:
Foxes are not fully dependent on meat. They're omnivores. That might give them an advantage.

A cheap cowboy hat knock-off I sometimes use while outdoors in the Summer. The 110 makes it look much better.
