Me too! Perhaps not that bad but I do sympathize GB

Took me about 10 days until I felt properly well again although only felt really bad for first 48 hours, after that just felt really flat and unmotivated if you like. Woke up last Friday and it was like a weight had been lifted.

Glad I’ve done it though, would (will) do it again even knowing the side effects

Me three.  Felt properly awful for a couple of days but wasn't fully right for a week or more.  I did better after the second dose but it still wasn't pleasant for a day or so.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I'm due to get my Sinovac vaccine on the 26th.

Now I'm worried if US discriminate against those who have gotten Chinese vaccines, like Saudi Arabia has.

Especially since I might travel to the US for work in the coming months
I don’t know if the US will discriminate for entrance, but I have read that some universities are only allowing students who have received certain vaccines.

:ahhh nasty glad you’re recovered mate. Was hoping second dose might be a lot better already having antibodies from the first, sounds like a bit better rather than a lot. Makes you appreciate just how bad the real thing must be

Maybe I'll just get a third jab using one of the US brands ....

I think he also created a forum or two, I'm not sure which one(s).

Statistically I think you're unlikely to have a strong reaction to the second dose.  I was just unfortunate.  Don't know how true this is but I read somewhere that it's the "carrier" part that some people react too rather than the vaccine proper.

I had my second dose of AstraZeneca on the 9th of May and have been plagued with daily headaches from 5 days after my second dose.

I was sent to a+e after a week of headaches by a gp for bloods and a ct scan that did not show anything of concern. But I have an appointment at a neurological  hospital in 3 weeks time.
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Sorry to hear that chip! I hope you're on the mend  :tu:

Mrs Surge & I had our first and second doses in late March and last week respectively (both were the AZ ones)

She had a dead arm for the first (worse the second time around) I was floored for 48hrs with the first.

Second dose was a VERY dead arm for her, nothing else and for me NOTHING :dunno:

NB: I have had full COVID twice (second was the worst) and Mrs Surge has had it once with mild symptons.
They don't like it up 'em!

Thank you, I was very worried at first with all the talk of blood clots, especially as I have already had a stroke 30 odd years ago when I was 14.

my GP told me they had heard of lots of people suffering for weeks from headaches after having had the vaccine and don’t know why as they are still learning about the effects of the vaccine.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

My niece had covid twice in four months and was contacted by the PHE reinfection team who came around and took blood and swabs. She has since had both vaccines and is having her blood tested for antibodies regularly by the boffins at Oxford to see how long their vaccine is effective for.

Glad you and you wife were ok in the end.

I hope a full work up with your GP they can narrow whats going on.  I believe whether its real or not we will learn of all sorts of ill effects from the vaccinations.  I got Pfizer and other than site soreness and what I now believe was chills for the first dose I was good.  The second dose I had a slight headache and was tired however I was not certain it was tired from the dose or a long workday or being old  :D.  I got up and went about my day and felt fine.

I do hope all will be good for you.

Thanks, I can be fine all day then bend over to pick up after my dog which will then cause a sharp pain in my head that goes once I stand up straight again.

Thanks mate, it has been going on for weeks now, but on the plus side it is not as bad as it was so hopefully will resolve itself with time.

  • Smurf it!
I had the headache and cold/flu like symptoms after the first, just a bit of a sore arm after the second. It was AZ.

I haven't come across anyone who's had really adverse reactions.

  • Apparently it is possible to have too many tools;)
Had my first AZ jab yesterday morning, felt a bit crap and had a medium headache today, but it has now lifted.  Onwards & upwards now (hopefully)  :tu:
