Day 39

Did a little can opening this morning to get supper in the slow cooker. Waited around for "adult signature required" delivery. Used small blade for tape cutting and scissors for wire tie. Now headed out to cut some firewood. I'm sure the champ will get more use today, maybe even the universal multipurpose scaler!

Day 39/60. Time to refresh my rose clipping. I especially like the way this variety of flower turns to pink as it ages.

Day 39 of 60:

I'm sure there is a proper tool to use to dig up carrots and other root veggies, but each year I seem to carve a new digging stick and call it good. Swiss Champ was brilliant for this.

Same. Several times!

I really prefer loose tea, but those tea bags are pretty handy. Especially with the Universal Scaler in yer pocket.   ;)

OK, so I'm really not looking specifically to use this tool, but it was the best to test if the potatoes were done!

I got addicted to those during business trips to London. Fortunately, I can get them here in the US at a British foods store in town.

Day 8 of 30 (Stack Challenge)

Open dog food... Check!

Happy dog... Check!

I've found it's easier to open a can if I tilt the spine of the can opener to the left about 30 degrees and keep my thumb on the spine. I can almost do Felix Immler's high-speed opening trick ( ) like this, though my grip is different.

Interesting technique!  I'll have to fool around with that next time a suitable can gets opened.   :tu:
