Day 44

Opened up the mail with the small blade. Used the hook to open lunch and the universal scaler/fork to remove lunch from the can.

I used the swisschamp to skin the buck last night. I also used it to remove one back strap and the front shoulders. I believe it wouldn't be any problem to complete the process from field to freezer with the swisschamp. I did switch to a different knife to complete the job. The blade is a bit short and the handle a bit large to be comfortable and efficient. Nice to know it can be done though. :tu:

Day 44 of 60:

A few uses today. Yard work (putting up anti-deer fencing) required the saw to trim away a dead branch that interfered with the fencing. Twine was cut. And some packaging was cut away.

Full disclosure: I did use some proper wire snips to cut the tie-wire I used to bind my fencing in place. In the past, a pliers-based multitool has tackled this task, but I feared the small Vic pliers were not up to the task.

Later, more baseball. This time with nachos!

To relieve you from another pic of the Universal Scaler retrieving a tea bag here's my current reading material. James Hollands books are well researched and very readable so thumbs up from me.

Day 45

I supported their Kickstarter campaign, but my order never arrived (postal service once parcels arrive in South Africa is a little hit and miss...mostly miss).

So picked up the Victorinox-branded FireAnt this week from my local dealer. Great glow-in-the dark feature.  :tu:

I've read a few Holland book. Thoroughly enjoyable. And I like his attempts to question the dogma of earlier historians, as well.

I've read two of his trilogy on WW2....don't think the third has been done. Or he switched to doing individual books about various aspects of the war.  :dunno:

Day 45 of 60:

I don't know what was wrong with me today. I used the S'champ a good bit today. And I kept thinking, "Oh, I should take a snap." But I either didn't have my phone camera or I just got distracted. So, some twine was clipped, some string snipped, a box was opened, a lemon was sliced, some broccoli was cut up. But no photos.
